how to enable vertical tabs in nightly? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

are vertical tabs and the sidebar updates an a/b test?

i can't seem to find out how to enable them and everything i've read show options that don't exist in my install - i've also tried a fresh profile.

ooh, thanks for that article!

i agree, i love to see it (i still use tree style tabs/sidebery but i would love to have it built in - especially the ability to hide the top tab strip)
