I feel like it leans more into the latter as a kind of tech industry comedy. It stars Rob McElhenney who played Mac in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and I feel like a lot of the humor his character adds is present in Mythic Quest.

I wanted to share this because I was pleasantly surprised by Mythic Quest and I feel like other people who are looking for a lighthearted comedy to watch might enjoy it.

I hate 'Sunny' but like this show. For the other dozen people who can't stand 'Sunny'.

Edit: I also love Silicon Valley

What do you like about Mythic Quest and dislike about IASIP?

There's actual likable characters in Mythic Quest. People I can root for and empathize with.

Everyone in Sunny is an irredeemable sociopath. I know that's the point, but shows/movies that are only about those kind of people aren't my cup of tea. I passionately love the balet episode, however. 95% the dance scene, but still :]

It took me a while to adjust to iasip. It's similar writing but iasip has a plot requirement of the characters getting in their own way which leads to unsatisfying resolutions. And there's a lot more yelling. Megan gatz is awesome

It's interesting because MQ is definitely still working specifically with severely flawed characters, but it also goes out of its way to make them feel redeemable in a way, too. At times it comes off as a bit contrived or phony, but I think it works for the tone of the show overall.
