In exactly 20 minutes (as of the time of writing, closer to 10 at the time of posting lol), apple with change the number on my iCloud account and let me back in. In preparation, I wiped my MacBook then forgot to do the updates. I never upgraded it past Mojave because I wanted my 32 bit app support they deprecated in Catalina, so when I wiped it it went back to high Sierra. Unfortunately though, I couldn't even install it because my clock was years behind so https wasn't working.... I had to do some weird shit messing around with installer logs and nvram to force it to download over http
I can apparently go to Monterey, but I'm not sure about it. I've always known Mac as OSX, and I'm not sure about this new OS that looks like a glorified iPad, but it's gonna take 7 hours to install (โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ Australian internet) so I guess I have time to think about it
I understood some of those words. Grew up Mac only but stopped when the weird multicolour jelly ones came out. Do have an emulator to play Dark Castle and Fools Errand though ๐บ
Yeah, my first ever laptop was a MacBook. Unfortunately I had issues with my charger port after a dodgy cable shorted out some of the pins and every other charger I tried to use (even genuine apple ones) would eventually short out too and stop working. After that I switched to windows with a bit of Linux here and there.
It seems that using a Mac is not like riding a bike because I've forgotten how to use it and have had to google pretty much everything ๐
Have you looked at what the first Mac laptop was? Break your neck trying to carry it.
