I'm going the Miele. The Miele machines were very good. Even if the rechargeable stick vacuum does a great job initially, I've heard it's hard to get replacement filters/batteries for them and some are fiddly to clean. Can't vouch for your aldi one, YMMV. But I reckon once you consider the running time before they run out of charge, and the overall durability and performance of the Miele over the years.. I'll bet you still have the Miele in 2 years time and the stick vac will be out in the street.
