Yes. It's taking them out of their comfort zone. Also, some places/events just don't allow pets. For example, I can't bring my dog to most conventions because he's not a service animal. Instead, I pay for a dog walker to come and feed, drug, and walk the pup everyday. The walker takes photos and lets me know if there are any issues or reasons to cut my trip short.
