I'm enjoying hearing people complain about the cold around the office. It's presently 18.5° and sunny in Perth. Yes, it was a bit chilly this morning, but nothing like what Melbourne goes through.
I guess it always boils down to what people are accustomed to.
I'm not exactly enduring The Revenant , I'm ok ...lol
Our Brisbane office gang always complain its too hot in the building, whilst the Melbourne crew roll around with puffer jackets still on in the office. Would love to know WTF building and facilities actually DO.
Oh, inside our building is fairly steady. Temprature is set to 23°. I purchased a little digital thermometer that I have at my desk. It was only 21° on the thing first thing this morning before the building filled. But, it's back to 22.9° right now.
This will boil down to money. It is loads less work for them to arrange proper repairs and improvements to building facilities, as that really reduces the number of maintenance requests they get. So, they would want to make sure everything is repaired and serviced etc. But the building owners put limitations on that - can only spend $x on improvements and $y on temperature control etc. Then, they stand between the tenants/employees and the owners to shield the latter group from complaints.
