Is that show good? I'm on the lookout for bearable kids shows

Fraggle Rock. Press Gang. Round the Twist. Thomas the Tank Engine and friends. Gumby. Adventure Time. Aaahh! Real Monsters. Babar the Elephant. Phineas and Ferb. Rugrats. Tintin.

I need to introduce my little one to Round the Twist

Have you considered going old school? The Ferals, Trapdoor, Duckula, Bananaman, Superted, Dangermouse. I have vague memories of people productions of Nargun & the stars, Chocky. They may be too dated. Secret Valley would certainly be so!

I remember all the older shows and they have the bias of me watching them when I was a kid. I want to sift through the Netflix CGI rubbish and find stuff I could tolerate having on in the loungeroom during a workday

Hitting the SBS cartoon nostalgia hard with Banana Man

It’s such a good show. I recommend β€˜in the night garden’, too

You can't tell me that psychedelic drugs were not part of the design process for the Ninky Nonk.

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 4 points 5 months ago

They 100% were for Dr Snuggles!

Haha, yeah. I reckon quite a few kids’ shows had that influence.

The theory in our household is that Upsy Daisy is based on Ari Up (punk rocker with dreads).

I personally like the soothing voiceover by Derek Jacobi, too.

OMG I remember that! Haven't watched it since I was like 5 or 6, it was only the coin purse CEO posted that made me remember it was a thing
