I'm actually just commenting because I've been told lemmy only considers a community to be active if a user has commented or posted to a forum. It'd be nice to see this place grow.

The numbers are slowly increasing. I heard from multiple "unsophisticated" friends when the DDG browser was announced who said they were excited about it and were going to give it a try. Even if they don't stick with it, privacy at least seems to be something that's on their minds.
