I think it’s hilarious that you think I care enough about any of this to go through comments, look at mine, I have a few people that go and downvote my comments and anyone I engage with. The people in Lemmy are baffling when you upset some of them.
And no, I talked to the mod, i was banned “for not being awesome” for trying to have a discussion and it be derailed exactly like this and resorting to insults. Apparently things are more free range here, but same results when you use insults back, not surprising, I’m starting to get a very particular vibe from some instances and need to ban them from my stuff.
But am I the sensitive one… or are the sensitive ones that check their comment karma enough to notice, let alone actually care about this stuff….? Are upvotes and downvotes that important…? Some instances don’t even allow downvoting as well.
Well, I looked at your comments like you asked.
Dude, you're getting downvoted because your behavior seems to really often be legitimately unpleasant, unnecessarily combative, and abrasive, not because somebody has a grudge against you.
It’s usually when I’m having a discussion and someone tries derailing it with some BS or joke which happens far too frequently in some communities.
But yeah, I get it, people can be abrasive, not everyone needs to communicate the way you want them too either as well. Life always going to be how YOU want it to be and reality is usually far worse than what people want to make seem “normal”. Lotta people put on a face in public just to seem pleasant to people. It’s requirement for most customer facing jobs.
The dude was abrasive with me first, but fuck me I guess eh?
If you’ve seen a pattern of conversations you’ve been party to derailing and turning in to abrasive, hostile arguments, you’re the problem bro.
