People make youtube videos because it generates income

It wasn't always this way, plenty of people made great youtube videos just for fun before there was any kind of "monetisation". Sure, there weren't the highly polished big budget videos (which would probably have been on tv back in the day), but there also wasn't all the like-and-subscribe sponsored shit which makes the internet so unpleasant nowadays.

YouTube is good because there's money coming in and going out

So yeah, I can't disagree with this enough!

We've had a different podium every single race, you really think that's duller than the years of HAM BOT VER?

[-] smeg@feddit.uk 3 points 12 hours ago

Selling the pirated stuff, I guess? I don't really follow it, but whenever I hear a judgement like this it's usually from someone actually making money from selling pirated games rather than just cracking or distributing.

I've been trying to play the (official, free but now delisted) port of the original Sonic with touch controls. It's a well-made port with some QoL features but it's really bloody hard to control without the physical feedback of buttons!

Astrea is a DICE-deck-building roguelike that flips the script on deckbuilders by using dice instead of cards and an unique dual “damage” system: Purification vs Corruption. Build a dice pool strong enough to purify Astrea's out-of-control corruption and save the Star System.

  • Unique dual “damage” system: Purification vs Corruption - In Astrea there is a new type of “damage” system. Purification can be used to damage enemies or heal yourself. On the other hand, corruption can be used to damage yourself or heal the enemies. Pacify enemies through Purification, or Corrupt yourself to unleash abilities that help tip the scales.

  • Dynamic Health Bar system - With skills attached to your health bar, you can take Corruption to enable these skills and unleash powerful abilities. But be careful, if you take too much Corruption you will be consumed by it.

  • Not cards, but dice! - Build a dice pool that fits your playstyle. Choose from over 350 dice and three dice types; reliably safe, perfectly balanced, or powerfully risky. A dice type system designed with high-risk, high-reward in its core.

  • Customize your dice - Forge your fate by editing die faces with new actions, tipping the odds of powerful results into your favor.

  • Choose from Six Brave Oracles - Each possessing their own unique dice sets, abilities, and playstyles. From ingenious spellcasters to brutish berserkers, whether you like beating the opponent into submission or outsmarting them with clever plays, there’s an oracle for you.

  • 20 Upgradeable Support Sentinels - Enchanted constructs that offer supportive dice rolls making them reliable companions in the heat of battle.

  • Uncover over 170 modifying Blessings - Imbue your Oracle with unique passives yielding potent effects that changes up your fundamental tactics. Choose between Star Blessings, passive effects with lower power, or Black Hole Blessings, powerful passive effects with a drawback.

  • More than 20 random events - Find mysterious locations that can change the course of your run.

  • Manipulate your enemies and control your fate - Enemies attack using their own die, making it possible for you to manipulate their die to change their intent.

  • 16 Difficulty Levels - Customize your experience using difficulty levels to test all your abilities.

Long ago - when ancient ruins were once flourishing civilizations and their populace lived in idyllic bliss - a mystical star governed all. Loyal disciples, called Six-Sided Oracles, were blessed by their star, granting them the strength to seal away the gift of heavenly bodies within mystic relics.

All was perfect and harmonious, until that one fateful day - The Crimson Dawn Cataclysm. A ferocious inferno sundered down from the sky, engulfing the entirety of the star system, crumbling the foundations of their society and corrupting the souls of the weak-willed. The disciples of the star were lost to the chaos - their creations scattered across a vast world of ruin. Could there still exist those who were capable of wielding their power?

Eons later, descendants of the Six-Sided Oracles embark on a journey to finish the failed battle that their predecessors started and save their star system.

You comply.

You complete your mandatory training — again and again.

Your progress will be logged.

Your cooperation will be acknowledged.

Your understanding is not required.

  • ~60 minute experience
  • Multiple endings
  • Unique communication mechanic
  • A surreal reflection on conformity, ambition, and the loss of identity

"There's a rumor about those red shoes. They're said to have a curse that will make you run until you die if you put them on. But let's think about it the other way around... If I somehow steal them, no one will be able to catch me, right?"

Wear red shoes and keep running! Rush Rush Red Shoes is a rogue-lite shooting racing game where you attack enemies by increasing your movement speed.

Rush Rush Red Shoes offers four game modes:

  • Story mode lets you follow the overall story of the game. Follow the great adventure of Cedric, who stole the red shoes!
  • Survival Mode is a mode where you can freely roam the stages from Story Mode and survive for as long as you can. You can obtain the resources needed for upgrades here!
  • Time Attack Mode is a mode where you have to complete some stages in a short amount of time. Try to complete the stages as quickly as possible!
  • Hardcore mode is an enhanced version of Survivor mode. If you work hard to clear Survivor mode, you might be able to play it someday?!

The game is controlled by using the arrow keys. If you continue to move in one direction, your speed will increase and you will be able to attack. When you reach the maximum speed, it is MAXSPEED! If you continue to attack enemies and maintain the maximum speed, the player will become closer to invincibility.

Use a combination of different abilities and delicate controls to push away the constantly swarming guards and keep running away!

Make friends, play cards, twist the rules, become a Mega Mutant Power Pets master, and try to save the world in this single-player RPG about being a 90's kid. On her first day at Dudsdale Elementary, 10-year old Jess accidentally gets everybody's favorite collectible card game banned, forcing the kids to take their card battles underground. Troubles arise when mutants from the game invade the real world, and it's up to Jess and friends to stop them.

From the award-winning indie game studio, Gambrinous, creators of Guild of Dungeoneering, comes an RPG where battles are played with an epic collectible card game. Cardpocalypse takes you back to the 1990's, a time when computers used floppy disks, and people read magazines for video game cheat codes. You will explore Dudsdale Elementary on a mission to build killer card decks in an effort to defeat the mutants. You will have to trade, earn, wager, change rules and permanently alter cards on your way to victory.

BE A CHAMPION: Build your decks around the ultra rare Champion cards you earn. Each Champion comes with unique abilities to tailor your deck around. First player to get their opponent's Champion card’s health to zero wins the match.

GO MEGA: Champion cards evolve to their MEGA forms when their health halves, doing more attack damage and gaining new powers.

CHANGE THE GAME: The kids sometimes use house rules and who knows what the Mutants will change. Throughout the game you will choose the new rules and conditions as well as renaming your favorite cards and giving them upgrades using stickers. Create entirely new cards using the Mega Mutant Power Magazine. But be careful, these decisions are permanent.

GET SCRAPPY: Adventure throughout the school to unravel the strange occurrences at Dudsdale Elementary. Take on quests to earn cards, stickers, and candy which you can collect and trade with your classmates. Careful, there's no backsies!

YOU CAN'T COLLECT 'EM ALL: In the end, your decks and rules will be unique to you. Stickers are rare, choices matter, and sometimes you'll have to make a tough decision to get the best cards.

THE 1990's: Through its totally rad, choice-driven, interactive narrative, Cardpocalypse delivers the experience of being a 90's kid. Boo-ya!

Guess they'll have to publish them to find out

[-] smeg@feddit.uk 80 points 2 days ago

There were also SSH key files.

I’m not publishing the archive, keys, or session logs.

I submitted the report and findings using Meta’s bug bounty program. Meta marked the report “Not Applicable.”

Guess they don't care if you publish the SSH keys then?

Oh wow, homemade weaponry, yeah not what I was expecting here.

Looks like OP is a new user on "guncadindex.com" though so I'm guessing they didn't mean for their question to end up here and with no context.

Are Petronas and Microsoft really that much better? I don't know who most of the others are but I'll bet at last half of them are bastards too!

You might need to define a few of those words. Squirted glock? Compensator? PLA? Lade? Invader v2? I don't even know what your picture is meant to be of!

Drop Duchy takes on the iconic geometric puzzle gameplay we all know and love with a fresh perspective: instead of simply clearing lines, you'll be thoughtfully building a realm using pieces of various shapes and types to overcome enemy challenges.

A mix of deck-building, puzzle and rogue-lite, the game offers a new gameplay designed to hone your appetite as a block-stacking tactician. Optimization is key to collecting precious resources, protecting your castle, and building your army. I want to understand how swapping the box affects the item’s overall condition rating and scarcity value

disclosing the full truth might lower the resale price and make it harder to sell

Games are meant to be played, not hoarded like some financial asset. Play it and enjoy it, or make it look nice if you're putting it in a display. Fuck what other people might think, enjoy it for yourself!
