...yeah, that is by far the worst part about this whole thing - we don't have anywhere that is safe and good for non-cars and/or pedestrians. We need better non-car infrastructure.

The regular memories feature has already existed for a while. This update just releases birthday memories as an upgrade.

I've really appreciated them, its a really cool way to see photos you may not otherwise look at.

OK! I mostly agree, gonna be a lot safer, we see a lot (in my rural town) of very young kids flying through 4 ways with no helmets and riding on 70km roads.

The bummer is for the responsible kids as well as any other people who feel unsafe on 50km roads in the city, who have been careful around pedestrians on sidewalks.

Well, these posts by @TheMightyCat@ani.social have officially convinced me to get the 6+ when my current phone dies!

If I can't buy it directly from you (I live in Canada) then I'll at least convince my partner to sneak out some budget money for a donation or two, as your work alone has made me believe that a Linux phone will be possible!

Keep up the great work! Every little bit helps reduce friction.

This article may be at least partially ai written - this paragraph under number 7 in particular is quite suspicious:

"For extra paranoia, some owners store their entire car in a Faraday garage or use signal-blocking paint—extreme, but effective."

Side load it? Don't you mean install it, the Play Store is not the only way to get apps

I didn't realize I was saving this for an event!

Yeah, the first couple times I felt confused/surprised, but these bathrooms are so much better - the ones I've been in have had the most excellent stalls.

That was my first thought too, but some people are moving to more privacy focused phones like grapheneOS, and other ROMs, or even Linux phones.

Besides, reduction in the number of people tracking you is still a positive thing.

Woah cool, this is the first time I've actually read about postmarketOS, other than seeing it mentioned occasionally, and it's pretty neat to see it coming along!

We must be pretty close on that by now, I can emulate a number of Switch 1 games surprisingly OK (not amazing, just OK) on my S21!

Nope, I'm afraid not, but I'm willing to bet we could try having a conversation here first.

I'd be curious to know why you believe the way you do, and yet are scared of downvotes / to get censored?

Using myself as an example, I was recently removed from leadership at an organization for standing up for the LGBTQ+ community as I believe that standing up for people in general is one of the best things we can do as humans.

Is the conversation not happening right here and now? You have been given an offer to speak and it feels a bit like you are shutting it down yourself. It feels like you are concerned that it will not go over well.

I believe that trans people have a right to live and thrive, just as anyone does. To me the question feels like "should we let people with brown hair exist?" "All those brownies are trying to make us all have brown hair!"
