We've killed children for less. I hate this country.

They won't do it. Stop wishing for it and replace them.

No shit? The lady who said there must be a peace-fire… [cheers] … for at least six weeks (or some similar bullshit). And didn't let any Palestinians speak at her big party. And told other activists to go to another rally for whatever they were saying. She lost? I wonder why.

It's not difficult to meet your voters where they are if you actually listen to them.

I will fly my Palestinian flag proudly on October 7th.

Was it because Win11 had a bunch of slopcoded Copilot bs? Inquiring minds want to know.

Good. That's a captive audience. Fuck people who do this. Same as when a dance group plays loud music on a train I can't exit while performing a routine.

Impose voting rights restrictions that reduce their access. Take the average life expectancy in your country, reduce the number by whatever the voting age is in your country. Cut off their right to vote by that number.

In the USA, where you can vote at 18, if the average life expectancy is 81 (made up a number), voting would end after 63. Pretty good way to ensure longterm thinking prevails.

How stately and presidential.

My father nearly died of polio as a kid. This was before the vax. My mother was slightly younger and remembered getting the vax because it was a big deal. It's super cool how lunatics are undoing all the progress we made protecting children from diseases. Let's have more suffering, isn't that great? Ffs.

Thoughts as I was reading this:

He then brought his wife and eight children…

This is not someone who should be taken seriously. Not normal.

He also said his family no longer recommends that other foreigners move to Russia because the authorities keep changing the rules and “there’s no way forward.”

Haha, loser. Imagine finding out in 2026 that the Russian state is corrupt.

Since November 2025, foreign men ages 18 to 65 who are deemed fit for military service have been required to sign a contract with the Defense Ministry to obtain a permanent residence permit in Russia. People who moved to Russia through the “traditional values” program are not exempt from this requirement.

Go get killed for the state, moron. Why do you think they let you in? Because they're nice and friendly? They need cannon fodder, you dolt.

That's a terrible feeling that I have definitely experienced. "That stupid jerk (past-me) did this!"

First author Dr. Olivia Bracken (UCL Department of Ageing, Rheumatology and Regenerative Medicine) said: "Our findings reveal a natural pathway that limits harmful immune cell expansion and helps calm inflammation more quickly.

"Targeting this mechanism could lead to safer treatments that restore immune balance without suppressing overall immunity. With chronic inflammation ranked as a major global health threat, this discovery opens a promising avenue for new therapies."

Requires physical access:

The attack requires an attacker who already controls the server's software and can briefly access the machine to insert a small circuit board, called an interposer, between the processor and a memory module.

So not like Spectre or Meltdown. I suspect we'll only see more and more vulnerabilities like this exposed as LLMs are used by capable security researchers and computer criminals to reduce the amount of work required to explore concepts that wouldn't have been worthwhile in the past.

Others said the campaign had a darker side and stirred up fear of newcomers. Some backers of the Piddington referendum compared their fight against the asylum accommodation to the 1940 Battle of Britain against Nazi Germany.

Villager Herbert Owen, 76, said after voting on Tuesday that the independence referendum "isn't just about Piddington," adding: "It means everything our grandparents, our parents fought for. Today is the Battle of Britain."

Comparing unauthorized immigration to an invasion has become increasingly common among politicians including Nigel Farage of Reform UK, and far-right groups that have been active in organizing and attending anti-immigrant protests.

What a bunch of assholes. From earlier in the article:

Residents of Piddington, which has a population of about 350…

That makes sense. Small town people need to have no say over issues pertaining to classes of people who are "different" from themselves. They're too insulated and lack exposure to those who aren't like them to properly recognize that they're human beings in all the ways that they'd recognize if they knew someone from said class.

Brief story: decades ago, while I was on excellent drugs at a rave, my homophobia (thanks, Mom!) instantly disappeared when I realized the hilarious gay guy, in a group of us smoking cigarettes, was no different from me. "He just wants to take his drugs and have a good time on Saturday night," I realized. He was no different from me!

Small town people need drugs and a good time with people unlike themselves.
