I totally agree that adopting is a big responsibility. Still, personalities don't always fully come out in the shelter. We adopted a 15 year old to give him a golden basket. We were told he's calm while withdrawn, while still at ease around other cats. What we got was a 15 year old acting like 2 year old. Absolutely races through the house and wants to play a lot with the other cats to the point they get annoyed, and is constantly and aggressively trying to steal from our plates. Frequently gets the zoomies at four in the morning which can result in facelicking. Still love him ofcourse, but I can imagine it's harder to deal with if you're in your 70's and expected a cat that at least doesn't try to use your legs as tree trunks on the way to food. Trying to find a family that matches the kitty's personality doesn't mean you're a bad person imo. Throwing them on the street is evil of course.

I get the joke, but last time my girlfriend went away for a couple of days, the cats were basically all over her when she sat down. Even the ones that don't particularly tolerate the others being too close were fine with it at that point.

It will be (and already is) much, much worse than just an embarrassment.

If you think you can set up mail infrastructure with on premise everything that is available to your not on premise workers safer than Microsoft, you will be spending a huge amount of money to do so.

It just turns out that the US has become a rogue state that alligns with the type of war criminals and dictators that the ICC wants to prosecute. I really don't think anyone would have predicted this 10 to 15 years ago when this mail choice was made.

Oh wow, something from Belgium showed up here. Obviously most reactions are the same here. But I would urge everyone to read more details about this. As there much more uncomfortable nuance here. One of those being that the dude is also in agreement he did something wrong. He also gave a relatively accurate description of the events of that evening that got proven with phone records and CCTV at different locations. Making his account of what happened at the least somewhat reliable.

Obviously the woman could not consent because she was drunk as fuck. And she's allowed to get drunk as fuck without being taken advantage off. CCTV showed them kissing at the bar they met. Phone records show he tried to call her friend she was supposed to go home with. CCTV shows them going to that friend's dorm and not getting in and waiting there for half an hour. Then they walk back to his place while kissing on the way there. The morning after his messages to her indicate he wants to continue seeing her. (https://m.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20250402_95297572?journeybuilder=nopaywall but it's in Dutch)

Again, she could not consent, and he as the least drunk of both of them bears the responsibility of this. I do think he should have had some form of punishment above of what he got and for the woman's feeling of safety a restraining order like she asked. And something that would have made mandatory counselling and follow-up possible. Not to mention that although justice in Belgium isn't supposed to be revenge, it should also cause some sort of satisfaction for the victim.

This situation just shows that the definition of rape over the decades has become more complex and nuanced, but unfortunately the tools to deal with this have not. This dude definitely did something wrong, but he's not just a vicious predator.

This has been debunked, unfortunately, male cats do this too, and they don't teach kittens to hunt.

It is believed now, they simpltdo this because they want to bring their prey to their core territory. Which is also where you are.

Remember that violent protests were used in Europe to establish our rights. It's incredibly weird looking to the US from the outside. You have the right to bear arms, specifically to oppose tyranny, yet nobody seems to do so.

Seems I'm in the minority but having to use my phone number as identier is exactly why I don't use apps like this, including WhatsApp. I don't care if my username gets shared, but I do not want my phone number to be shared with a bunch of randoms.

They literally had that experiment with Premium Light. €6 for ad free watching, it was all I needed. But they literally sent out a mail they were stopping this tier right before they started implementing more anti-ad blocking measures.

Ric just outqualified Perez at his home track, with an AT. What a statement. Let's see if he can put a result on the board tomorrow.

Vac bans mean you can't play on vac secured servers. Nothing happens to your other games. For a competitive multiplayer game some anticheat detection is wanted. People changing their dll's to gain a competitive advantage is cheating. AMD making and distributing this unintentional cheat doesn't change that.

I agree that buying directly or through GoG and backing up your games is the best thing to do. But this incident isn't really related to that.

Most reactions here are focusing too hard on the title. These clubs aren't like, nor inspired by 'Fight Club'. These groups pose as groups for men wanting to connect with other men so they can learn about physical and mental health, philosophy and self defense. The sports they train are absolutely effective and the hope they get brain damage from this is naive. They practice the same principle that most sane martial arts gyms use since many of them are involved in those as well.

Some will even have chapters for women so they can learn about their sacred and divine femininity and reject the modern capitalist pressures society puts on them of being both a career woman and homemaker and wife.

And very few of them are actually obvious about their neo Nazi roots. They usually just stick to neo paganism with some cherry picked Christianity tossed in for good measure.

I know it's most likely a beginner question but it's what I am I suppose.

For extra context, I generally have about 6-10 hours to spend to game per week and I find I do enjoy the main quest but after spending a couple days only doing that it feels like I'm missing out by ignoring some of the side quests.

I only have 1 charachter so far and it's lvl35 at around the start of ACT2.

Will I lose out on powerlevel if I just try to get through the main quest first for now and look into doing sidequests afterwards? Am I making my life harder if I do sidequests first?

Right now I think I would like to be able to participate in the seasonal with a new class to try out, since it is still an expensive game and I want to feel like I experience more than just one class.
