Not a woman but- No that actually makes a lot of sense :)
What's up with all the China hype on Lemmy? These projects are impressive, no doubt, but their cost in terms of human rights violations are pretty high. I'm speaking generally, I don't have the specifics with regards to this subway system. Either way it's not really comparable to a project like this in a country like Canada imo.
Tbh I like the convenience of not being physically attached to my phone when listening to music. That said, the removal of headphone jacks from phones is a disgrace.
I think this is the nicest way to go about parking a vehicle like this. I might think it's a bigger vehicle than necessary, but this is not the person who should primarily receive hate for their choice of car.
I hope this happens to all Abrahamic religions. Scratch that, I hope it happens to all organized religion. It had its place in the development of human society, but we are past the point of needing angry sky-man to scare us into being nice to each other. It's possible to teach kids to have a moral compass without fear of divine retribution.
Misleading title. Not incorrect, but it is based on what the source of income is, it is not about how rich you are relative to the rest of the population. The title makes it sound like if you make a certain amount of money, your tax rate is lowered. Alternatively, it sounds like the richest Dutch are evading 12% worth of taxes. But neither of these are true statements AFAIK, and either way they aren't made in the article, so the title is misleading.
Edit: Changed "the top 1%" to "the richest Dutch".
The second Win 10 stops receiving security updates, it's Linux for me.
I've seen their ads in Sweden before IIRC. They don't seem to be very common though. Why don't you like that they're advertising?
It's definitely not worth it. Zuckerberg is the bigger fish here, at least within the social media domain. Meta's threads replacing Twitter would make them even more powerful than they already are. I don't like Elon, and it's crazy that he somehow managed to make Twitter even worse than it was, but we really don't need Meta to grow even larger.
Has anyone heard any comments from them on this? Reconsidering my choice of instance unless they block threads.
Can you please give us a straight answer regarding blocking threads.net? If you don't intend to do so, there are those of us who want to know so that we can leave.

On the one hand, sucks that a leak like this even happens anymore, no one deserves to be doxxed like that. On the other hand, I struggle to feel bad for the users of the doxxing app getting doxxed in return...
