I was at the plant nursery today. For reasons, my 6yo had a beetle in a jar which we had brought to be identified by a knowledgeable friend who was also going to be there. I loaded up my plants in my car and as it was hot out, packed kiddo into the car with the AC on while I helped my friend do plant tetris in her car 2 spots over.

Looked up, noticed two adults standing by my car and immediately think oh god they think i left my child in a hot car and went running back over.

Friends, my son had taken it upon himself to roll down his window and invite these strange adults to come look at his beetle. They evidently wanted to see it because they all seemed to be chatting and having a lovely time. (BTW the beetle turned out to be a lady stag beetle. She was returned unharmed to her habitat)

Made out of leftover quilting fabric and a reclaimed linen duvet cover! He loves them and his cousins want sushi pants now too

I'm taking a workshop on making a quilt into a coat and needed a quick one to cannibalize. I'll back it with some linen I got from a thrifted duvet cover!

My kiddo and I are having a fruit and vegetable challenge. Each month we'll seek out a fruit or vegetable we've never tried and taste it. My BFF is trying to walk all the greenways in our county (that is county not country, low stakes! Attainabl!). How about you?
