No. There's already yeast on just about everything in the environment. You don't add any.

I didn't think I needed plugins on mobile until I had the option. I still don't have as many as desktop, but there are some incredibly useful ones. things like Indie Wiki Buddy, for avoiding Fandom, as an example.

Sort of. It's more complex than that, but yeah. You basically add your peppers (and everything else), add water + salt, seal, and wait. There's yeast all over the peppers that will start digesting the sugars and break things down. You then just blend it all up when fermentation is done and you've got some of the best hot sauce you can get.

It looks like you have a lot of water. I've done this a few times, and I used just enough water to cover the peppers. It should be fine, but it may end up less potent (or you may end up pouring a lot of the brine off).

I hope you enjoy it! This has made the best hot sauce I've had. I always throw in some carrots, onions, and other things to ferment with them, and it makes a great flavor.

Have you tried Firefox on Android? You can actually have plugins. It's the only mobile browser I know of that supports that.

I haven't had your issue with Firefox getting slower though. I use Zen, but it's still Firefox and it seems fine. Maybe it's just the mainline branch getting slower? Could it be AI? Do you have it toggled off?

You should use the plugin Indie Wiki Buddy. It's better than the people saying "just use Breeze Wiki." It actively transfers you to the indie wiki option even when you select a Fandom link (if you have the option set). It also does a lot more than just Breeze Wiki. You can toggle certain wikis on or off and set their priorities. For example, some games won't have a Breeze Wiki page, but they will have some other Wiki, and this handles that without you having to think about it.

That's unlikely. It seems to have been such a regional thing that I don't think it's that. If it were, you expect it to come from a Roman tradition, or at least be adopted by them, yet these aren't found there.

The one at the top of this chain did. The one I was responding to.

That page disagrees with you though. The thing being acted upon gets whom. That's the rule. That entire page is just different situations where that can happen.

There is a why. Are you stupid. You literally said it. It's evolutionarily advantageous. "Why" does not imply a conscious decision. I can tell you why a rock rolled down a hill without the rock needing to have decided to roll down the hill. Stop trolling.

I don't see where I said evolution has intent. Care to explain? It is made for feeding babies of that species. That is what the animal makes it for. Are you arguing against that? That is the purpose. There is no conscious decision needed for a purpose to be had.

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 6 points 13 hours ago

It is extracted to be used by humans, but it is evolved to be consumed by their babies. The ratios of fat, protein, and sugar are evolutionarily optimized for their baby to consume. Humans decided to drink it too, but that is not why it exists.

The only answer left is "animal milk is fine, except for humans." I don't see how that one is logical. It's emotional only. Humans are animals, and human milk is the stuff that is actually made for human consumption. Humans can also consent. I don't see any logical way you could exclude human milk but include other animals.
