Kota Ibushi provides an update following his most recent surgery on a recent leg injury, and on if he will return to the ring.

Ibushi has been out of action since November of last year when he suffered a fractured leg, and has had a range of complications from the injury as a result. Last week, he would undergo another surgery on the leg, and has now provided an update following the procedure.

While speaking in a new video posted to X, Kota Ibushi spoke about the surgery, noting that ‘a return to professional wrestling is almost impossible.’

“Fortunately, the surgery was successful, but I learned a few things from it. It seems that a return to professional wrestling is almost impossible. The plate that was replaced this time will not be removed from my perspective in the future, and will remain like this for life. Thanks to the treatment, I can now go about my life without any problems, but apparently there is a high chance it will break again if I do professional wrestling. When that happens, even daily life becomes difficult. In the past, I would have tried to make a comeback, but I’m confused because I don’t feel that motivation anymore. Is it due to age? Perhaps my body has come to understand that with these legs, I may never be able to return to my prime. That’s what I thought, I’m completely recovered after just two days since the surgery! Even though a comeback seems hopeless, I will definitely return to the ring. I don’t know how many years it will take, but I will never give up. However, my leg is in pretty bad shape, so I’m going to stop pushing as hard as I used to.”

Earlier this week, Kota Ibushi underwent a second surgery on his femur, which has sidelined him since October 2025.

On social media, Kota gave an update after surgery and revealed that he’s been living on medication that is taken by cancer patients, which means his condition isn’t “normal” according to him.

From Kota:

“Regarding this surgery. This is the first thought that came to mind—maybe it’s only because of where I am right now, but I feel I need to write it down. It’s the first time I’ve felt like giving up, like I’m about to lose to myself.

“I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m grateful that I was able to wrestle professionally for 22 years.

“Setting aside whether I’ll make a comeback or not, the first question is whether I can even become a “normal” person again. For the past year or so, I’ve been living on medication typically prescribed to cancer patients. That means my condition isn’t normal—my specialist urged me to have another surgery as soon as possible, which led to this procedure. Given my age, I want some time to think things through, but I’m going to try to face the reality of my situation head-on. Surprisingly, I was able to get out of the wheelchair after just one day. I still can’t move very well, but I’ve managed to start using crutches”

He initially underwent surgery in October 2025 when he suffered the injury during a match with Josh Alexander. He underwent another surgery in February when a screw came loose.

John Silver is a married man now.

In June 2025, John Silver announced his engagement to Denise Liguori. It appears that the couple tied the knot on September 19.

On Saturday, Silver and Denise shared pictures and videos from their wedding on social media. Fellow wrestler Chuck Taylor was among the guests.

Silver is currently part of All Elite Wrestling. He’s one of the members of The Dark Order stable, which also consists of Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, Preston Vance, and Brodie Lee Jr.

The latest update on 2 Cold Scorpio.

According to court records, 2 Cold Scorpio (Charles Scaggs) was taken into custody and jailed on September 17 following his court appearance in Kansas City.

During the hearing, Scaggs acknowledged he had brandished a firearm, which was in violation of his bond.

Prosecutors filed a motion on September 11 seeking to revoke his bond and have him remanded to jail.

Court records for the hearing noted, “Court finds and believes Defendant to be clearly in violation of his bond conditions, and that said violation is a danger to public safety.”

He will be sentenced on October 9. He previously pleaded guilty on charges of second degree assault and armed criminal action.

He was arrested in June 2024 after getting into a fight with a man during an incident at the Love’s Travel Stop, where he was working as a security guard.

According to Scorpio, he was acting in self-defense. He claimed to authorities he was working as a security guard at the store and asked the man to not smoke inside. He claimed the man became upset and said, “F you the f*** you gonna do?” before threatening him. The victim claimed Scorpio was the aggressor.

Rhodes took to social media on Thursday to reveal the Guile hair popcorn bucket that will exclusive to AMC Theaters for the release of ‘Street Fighter’. In an interesting and possibly unsanitary turn of events, the popcorn bucket is wearable.

The cost of the Guile popcorn bucket was not revealed.

Aside from Rhodes, ‘Street Fighter’ will also feature other wrestlers like Roman Reigns and Hirooki Goto. Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, David Dastmalchian, and 50 Cent also star in the film, which comes to theaters on Friday, October 16.

Years after their first deal fell apart, MLW and Tubi have once again linked up.

MLW has struck a deal to air weekly program Fusion on Tubi, The Hollywood Reporter wrote this week.

Fusion will air on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the free streaming service, beginning this evening.

MLW was originally planned to ink a deal with Tubi in 2021, although the plan fell through. MLW later alleged in a lawsuit that WWE pressured Tubi to cancel the agreement. Tubi is owned by Fox who, at the time, had a deal to air WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown.

WWE later paid $20 million in an out-of-court settlement.

MLW debuted Fusion as a weekly program in 2018. The show has seen starts and stops over the years, most recently rebooting in late May.

Tubi is one of the many options for catching Fusion. The show will remain available to stream on Saturday nights via Youtube or VEEPs, as well as on Monday via NJPW World.

“I am being hospitalized starting today. Tomorrow, I will undergo a second surgery on my femur. They will remove all the current plates and replace them with the strongest available option, as the doctors said my current ones were simply too weak for my body and leg. Why now? It makes absolutely no sense to me. I am so exhausted from having to go through surgery after surgery. But I am not giving up. I refuse to let something like this end my professional wrestling career. I will make sure this surgery is a success and absolutely return to AEW,” he wrote.

Taking to her social media pages, Tanea Brooks, a.k.a. Rebel, posted about a bill, ACT for ALS, that will protect ALS research and treatment.

Brooks noted in her post that although it has unanimous support, Congress might keep pushing it off until the end of 2026 or longer.

She wrote:

“PLEASE WATCH AND READ… VERY URGENT!

You’ve heard me talking about how important I AM ALS and their bill – the ACT for ALS – means to me. Renewing it will secure another $500 million for ALS research and treatment access. Even though it has unanimous support, Congress might keep pushing it off until the end of the year or longer. Please sign your name to this petition and tell them that’s not ok. ALS deserves your support, and needs it now. We can’t afford to wait. The ALS community needs hope and we need it urgently ❤️

On September 9th, All Elite Wrestling presented the ‘Rebel Heart’ edition of Dynamite. Brooks was featured in several segments on the show, including reuniting with Britt Baker.

Fred Ottman (Typhoon in WWE, Shockmaster in WCW) is back in the hospital.

Ottman apologized for missing upcoming appearances. Further details on what he’s suffering from were not given.

Ottman gave the following message on Facebook:

“Unfortunately, everybody, due to things beyond my control, I was put into the hospital here, and this evening I got admitted after I was taken to the emergency room.

“But I will not be able to be there, guys. I want to apologize, and I’ll get together with the promoters that was bringing me in after I see what’s going on here with the doctors.

“But I love you all. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers, and hopefully I’ll be seeing you soon. Bye.”

Ottman was in the hospital earlier this year after his gallbladder exploded. He underwent surgery in February.

Fred Ottman portrayed Typhoon, Tugboat, and the Shockmaster during his time in wrestling. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2025.
