Yes grandma, you're right of course. Just take your pills and the bad men who are out to get you will all go away.

That's true for any country

Yes, but Russia is the only one who has shown they're extremely likely to do so.

Yet do we have to worry as much and pay as much for defence as our politicians tell us to do?

Well if I could predict the future, I would be really stinking rich, and many poor people would be less poor. Unfortunately, here we are.

Ok grandma, let's get you back to bed while you can still afford one.

Air superiority relies on having sufficient ammo. And if the recent war in Europe has shown us anything, it's that having just a couple of really good weapons doesn't really work unless you also have a shitload of other stuff.

While Russia can barely maintain a front against Ukraine, they are more than capable of killing people far behind the front lines.

Like I said, Russia won't win, they probably wouldn't hurt us as much as we would hurt them. But they WOULD hurt us.

That low rumble is the sound of zombie Thatcher rising from the depths of hell.

All I can say is that I can do it with every type of potato I've tried it with.

Well all of Europe is experiencing a crisis so yes?

Not really. The biggest crisis is that a nation that was formerly a big ally is turning hugely unreliable and unpredictable, starting random wars and invading neutral countries and threatening to invade allies.

Why do you think all start up companies escape the EU for USA?

Because the US let's you exploit workers and the environment, while Europe protects those much more.

Suuuuure, that's why France did the same thing right? And why German experts have recommended the same.

Must be a total coincidence.

A potato peeler is an excellent invention, because it reduces the time I spend doing something I hate.

However, I have an even better method: don't peel your potatoes. You can eat the peel, it's even very tasty in pretty much all non-mashes uses.

I'm putting 50 bucks on this bearing only the most vague resemblance to Raveloft. They'll use the names and there will be a scary vampire, and that's going to be it.

No, they lack the ability to successfully invade. They are absolutely capable of killing lots of people

This is why I start the rants at my husband with "I don't need a solution for this. So, today..."

See up- and downvoters? (sh.itjust.works)

Is it possible to see who upvoted and downvoted a post or comment in Boost? Its a possibility on Lemmy, but there doesn't seem to be a function for it on Boost.

Hiding read posts? (sh.itjust.works)

There are a whole bunch of options to mark posts as read, but as of yet, I can't seem to find an option to actually hide to posts.

Am I missing something, or does marking a post just grey it out?
