Really hope they default to a server like Lemmyone that can handle the traffic

[-] jdaxe@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 years ago

Maybe load balance between a few of the big servers

I am a long time RIF user. How does sync compare to RIF?

[-] ChewbaccasClitoris 2 points 3 years ago

I've used both in the past. RIF is an excellent app.

But Sync is better.

I trailed a tonne of different apps and I always went back to Sync, amazing app and a great developer.

Good

This is fantastic news. Sync is what made me stay at reddit.

[-] freebrick@kbin.social 2 points 3 years ago

LemmySync will reddit sink

[-] tj111@lemmy.world 2 points 3 years ago

Now do RiF 🤞

[-] TechnoBabble@lemmy.world 1 points 3 years ago

Yes.

Andrew please, give me a reason to buy RiF (or... LiF?) again.

This was my favorite Reddit app. So happy to see it coming to Lemmy now that I’ve moved on from Reddit.

For someone who is totally out of the loop, what is sync?

[-] sparkplug49@kbin.social 4 points 3 years ago

A third party reddit app, and imo one of the best on android.

[-] Krafting@lemmy.world 2 points 3 years ago

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.laurencedawson.reddit_sync&pli=1 A reddit client

[-] TheGreenGolem@lemmy.world 2 points 3 years ago

Just minor correction: the bestest ever reddit client. Ever.

[-] LiGuangming1981@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 years ago

Sweet. Sync was my go-to Reddit client, so it'll be great to have it available for Lemmy in the future.

I wonder, what is the minimum android version it will support?

[-] itsmikeyd@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 years ago

I would guess the same as Sync for Reddit.

[-] OsrsNeedsF2P@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 years ago

Is it worth staying on older Android versions rather than going for something like PmOS?
