How much money has been wasted on this bullshit?

I have $25. Can I be governor?

[–] ZagamTheVile@lemmy.world 8 points 5 months ago

You can be as least as much governor as she can.

[–] ASeriesOfPoorChoices@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

you can be my governor, baby.

[–] HWK_290@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Governor, I hardly know her

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

For $25 you can also claim you won the election, sure.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 14 points 5 months ago

She probably makes more money by fundraising off this shit.

[–] dogsnest@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

But if Trump is referred to as President Trump in legal filings, can't Lake be referred to as Governor?

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 30 points 5 months ago

In informal settings, most former presidents are referred to as 'President [whatever]'. It's only in formal gatherings where it's considered appropriate. Most view it as a courtesy. Though, it should be noted, all of one ex-president takes offense to being called "Former President"; and he's the same dumbass that most everyone outside of his circles no longer allow that courtesy.

Better she spins her wheels on this nonsense than whatever other bullshit she’d be working on otherwise, at least

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

I'm thinking more about the other side than her.

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 50 points 5 months ago

I love this for her

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 41 points 5 months ago (1 children)

She is barely sentient and I'm pretty sure a potted plant cant be governor.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

I'm not so sure about that (in the "Air Bud rule" sense). Better check that AZ constitution to make sure!

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 31 points 5 months ago (1 children)

This is still going on? Lake, you are the second worst loser ever.

[–] kaitco@lemmy.world 25 points 5 months ago

Oh snap! She’s even losing at losing!

I think she was a 90s daytime talk show host? We'll never really know.

[–] BumbleBear@programming.dev 9 points 5 months ago (1 children)

No, no no... You're thinking of Ricki Lake.

And they followed up for the rest of us that aren't a million years old and wouldn't know who the fuck that is. I still don't really understand your joke about the 1900s. What even? Is the joke?

[–] apocalypticat@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

First off: calm the fuck down a little.

Second: Fuck you for calling the 90's "the 1900s".

Third: it wasn't that funny, and I won't bother explaining it to you given that snarky attitude of yours.

ZAPHOD: Can I just ask you some questions?

ZARNIWOOP: By all means.

ZAPHOD: Okay. Well, for starters, I’ll have who, what, when, and where. And then whither, whether, whence, and wherefore to follow, and one big side order of why?

[–] RedAggroBest@lemmy.world 21 points 5 months ago

This cunt. I live in AZ so I've been dealing with her since she was on the local Fox station.

She's challenging this while also running for Senate. She has zero values.

[–] WaistGunnerPug@lemmy.world 20 points 5 months ago

You are NOT the governor.

  • Maury Povich
[–] son_named_bort@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I'm not the governor of Arizona either but I didn't need the court to tell me that.

[–] exanime@lemmy.today 8 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

There is a very interesting psychological phenomena involved as to why your situation and hers are different... Years of scientific study backs this

However, in the interest of time I'll summarize it: unlike her, you are not batshit crazy

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago

Maybe this is real news, but an Onion writer wrote that headline.

[–] DesertMagma@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago

Newsflash: AZ's loudest loser loses loudly.
