I have a professional house cleaning service and if they tell me they are dropping me as a client I completely understand and kinda half expect that.
Situation: I had some uh "personal" items of a very distinctly feminine nature in my bathroom. I'm not detailing them out because I don't want to run afoul of subreddit rules regarding content but it wasn't anything really crazy, would also be far less crazy is I was a woman but I am very distinctly not in my day to day life. Let's just say it was very apparent, very immediately to the woman who encountered it that I'm an adventurous sort. I seriously thought that I'd done a clean sweep yesterday but I guess not.
Relationship to Cleaning Crew: The cleaning crew is one from a business, not any sort of personal friends. I honestly don't remember their names half the time because they rotate out often. Their knowledge of me personally is two or three sentences usually when they show up and when they leave as well as my name as a client. I mean theoretically best-case they think I'm dating someone and she left it here... maybe?
Actions/Events: The encounter happened really early and basically when I realized one was whispering to the other, knowing where she came from my "oh shit" alarms in my head went off. At that point though wtf am I gonna do? They finished the place and there was no change in demeanor so maybe it's just another day for them because I know this is one of those situations that I'm not unique on.
QUESTION:
Do I just leave this be? Do I cancel my service? I know money talks but would a significant tip be an acceptable apology?
