Got started on a new angel drawing! πŸ˜ƒ Originally, the docahedron was going to instead be a sphere, but I'm really glad I settled on the docahedron core, since it gives a nice little contrast to the smooth form of the rings!

I finally finished my play through of Dragon Age Inquisition. The game is right on the limit of not respecting my time. Fortunately you can ignore a lot of the content with no real loss. Decent story though the ending was a bit anticlimactic and you need to play the dlc to get what your companions get up to after the game which would have felt real bad on release.

I've been cleaning my childhood home, I'm about to move with my gf so I'm checking things I need to keep, or store, or throw away, or give away.

There's one room in particular that has always been dedicated to store nonsense, to the point where it was inaccessible once the door was closed. Over the years I managed to empty it and relocate its contents across the rest of the house (not really cleaning lol, just moving things from one place to another, but efficiently 😝)

That room has since been used as an office sort of thing, with a lot of my own personal items piling up, which is where I am right now : trying to empty it completely so we can repaint the walls, and so I can select what to bring with me.

I finally decided on what my next keyboard build will be, a travel variation of one of my existing designs. I'm going to take a spare circuit board from my last one (damn minimum order quantity!!!!!!!!!), break it in two and throw away the numpad part, then laser cut and/or 3D print a case for it that's as thin as I can pull off. I have thin, blank keycaps that are PBT, a polyester plastic, so they should respond well to having Cricut infusible ink being heated by my laser. My red never comes out more than a saturated pink, but I'm going to send each one through twice to do a two-color design based on the old Timex Sinclair, possibly the world's worst computer keyboard, but one with some cool identifying legends. Seriously you guys. The T/S1000 (aka ZX-81) was literally so bad that half the design is BASIC commands on a layer, simply so you wouldn't have to type "GOTO" and other three- and four-letter words.

Starting a new tech lead role next week after getting laid off from my job of the last 4 years, so this week (as well as the previous), I’ve been and will keep cramming in as much golf as I can. I played a lot as a kid and teen, stopped around 17yo, then started again last year after a ~15 year hiatus.

Ordered a new wind indicator for my sailboat. The old one doesn't spin freely anymore, must have been damaged by some high winds over the last couple weeks or something. I am hoping it arrives in time for me and my buddy to figure out how to install it this weekend.
