I actually prefer NonSteamLaunchers these days. Heroic is not working very well for me, specially for storefronts other than Epic Games.

As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.
Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to the Steam Deck in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.
- Have fun.
Heroic has always been fine for GOG for me, but it just wouldn't load any of my Epic library last time I tried to use it
Mine breaks with Amazon Games frequently. I gave up and I’m using NonSteamLaunchers for that, works awesome.
I didn't know Heroic did Amazon too, I've got Lutris set up for that

A year or two ago I tried using it for Bnet and Diablo 2 but it had a lot of issues... I'll have to give it another try
Neat. I was put off buying FarCry 4 and Battlefield 3 (because of the additional launchers) does anyone know would this circumvent those?
This won't remove unnecessary launchers from steam games that require them, it just lets you more easily install games that you own on other platforms.
