This work week has been a GRIND. Almost there but I'll be crawling to the finish line. Then a week off next week, really looking forward to a short break. Thinking a second coffee is in order.

Dumpling review:
Good flavour - these were pork and ginger. Texture was lacking, but I blame my own cooking. I ended up kind of... Shallow boiling them, draining the water, then putting them pack on with a little butter (I don't really use oil). Let the remaining moisture evaporate as best it could and stirred em around a bit. Finished with soy sauce and la gan mao chilli crisp. Also had broccolini. They came out quite soft and tacky? Still good though.
If you intend on feasting on more dumplings in the coming years get a couple of bamboo steamers like Catfish said.
This is the way. Also, to save the annoying ripping off of the right size of baking paper grab some liners
The pork & ginger ones I like to have in soup or on top of ramen. They are softer and tackier than other kinds. I have had trouble fry/steaming them. They do OK steamed only, but are really nice in soup.
Sometimes I steam the Aldi gyoza in the microwave, which I'm sure isn't ideal but hey it's quick and easy. And they're still good.
I donβt really use oil
Oil is fren not foe with the dumplo.
Whatever youse are doing tonight have a good time ok.
Just keeping the numbers up because I love a competition.
Gonna fuck around and set up my gaming PC again to try Deadlock. Gave away my monitor, chair and desk, so gonna be an interesting setup for the time being.
Also, BBQ Samboy chips detected at Aldi in the CBD.
Aldi's bags of popcorn are pretty good. I need to tell the world so they stay in circulation forever.
The kid came home yesterday from a function with a tray of food and the man said "I can take some for lunch tomorrow" and I said "No you can't. That's our dinner". I feel really bad now for being a cunt.
Sky pretty. Much pink.
It was like fairy floss
I'm gonna share my Spotify playlist for tonight. Thanks for all those that involuntarily contributed. Hopefully I do this right.π€

Feeling really bad about buying from Amazon but itβs hard to find some things I need without it
Heading to aldi, going to buy some of their dumplings for the first time, amongst other things. Anyone need anything while I'm there?
Edit: anyone know the best way to prepare the dumplings? I don't have a steamer. I was thinking I'd do them in a frying pan with a very shallow layer of water, lid on
Movie Review. Kick-Ass.
Thoughts on an R rating for a movie about violence and force perpetrated and suffered by children.
In real life children can suffer all the same horrors as adults and too often do. I really do think we should put our effort in protecting children from real life violence rather than fictional violence.
And maybe fictional violence can help children understand the world around them better.
I don't like violence, doesn't mean it's good to pretend it doesn't exist.
I'm crashing after my morning caffeine hit! Argh!
