A melt is someone who melts under emotional or confrontational pressure.

Don't think I've ever heard it in real life though, just on that there telly.

Yeah, native of 51 years, never heard it ever said, seen it online twice. I’m sure it’s just a made up thing to be different rather than a fluent occurrence
