Play For Dream MR was announced back in June, but at the time the company only confirmed it was launching in China soon, Singapore and Malaysia in October, and then Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan sometime in 2025.

Now, the company plans to bring the headset to "anywhere in the world" via Kickstarter. Play For Dream was formerly called YVR and is an established headset company in China. The campaign goal is set to the equivalent of around just $5000 and offers significant discounts on the headset, suggesting Kickstarter isn't being used to fund the headset's development, but instead as a marketing and sales channel.

I'm still more interested by the deckard and what samsung is working on but if this becomes a good option in the future i might give it a try. I wouldn't back a kickstarter like that but it's cool to see it might get some traction in america.

I decided to support it since they are going for world wide access and steam streaming with good oleds. We we will see what Actually gets delivered.

The campaign seems to be going pretty well. About 100 devices backed i think? It's weird that in the FAQ they say 3 times that it doesn't support direct wired connexion to a PC.

I noticed a lot of people asking if it supports Display port over USB so that may be the reason.

It looks like they doubled the amount of units backed since my last comment. Nice!
