Iβm so gutted for Papenhyuzen I canβt even celebrate this win right now π’. Confirmed same injury as Yow Yeh and we all know how that ended. Absolutely brutal, he did not deserve that after what he has been through.
I hate the storms but like paps. Hate the fact he came back only to get injured again. I don't want him to retire, same way I don't want turbo to retire, but why would he come back?
It can be an absolute cruel game to some of the best players.

So despite the confirmation last night of a broken ankle and compound fracture it actually wasnβt a compound fracture which is HUGE news. Last I saw they were doing the surgery and would then confirm if it was an ankle break or just a straight tibia/fibula break, with the latter being preferable as it would have a much lower chance of being a career ender. Fingers crossed!
Saw they were expecting him to be training at the beginning of next year!

Respect to the Broncos defence. Melbourne never looked like scoring. Broncos well deserved winners.
But holy hell, that last 10 minutes or so of Melbourne injuries... I hate Melbourne, but no, not like this....βΉοΈ
Yeh I canβt remember a worse 10 minutes of injuries ever tbh. Coates was in a world of hurt, that head clash was one of the most brutal Iβve ever seen (how one of them managed to get up and stay on the field before going off 10 minutes later is amazing, the ref should have sent him straight away for an HIA), and then Papi going down like that. Just terrible.
Iβm a Broncos diehard but I like the storm as theyβre basically another QLD team, so that end just took all the wind out of my jovial sails.
Broncos going to definitely have to fix their errors if they want to beat Penrith though. Walsh made a couple of unforgivable ones in the 2 play the ball errors. Also his insistence to challenge the first one was bad. You could tell Reynolds didnβt want to but Walsh convinced him. Terrible call by Walsh.
That knights v raiders game was a cracker. Did not like the penalty goal to win it but what can you do, it's the NRL and they're gonna do that every now and then unfortunately.
looks like ol' Fighton is gonna be sitting out a few weeks for Souths. Can't believe he didn't get sent off, he even admitted to biting him when talking to the ref!

Unfortunately I think he has as much chance of playing next week as he does ever playing again. Devastating.
Didnβt think Iβd be cheering for the panthers but Iβd rather they win now so we can play them in a grand final rather than the prelim. Then winning today gives us a much easier path to the grand final.

I'm only going to watch the Sharks v Roosters game. Seems like the only one where the result is up in the air.
Broncos v Storm is a bit uncertain. Only because Melbourne has some strange voodoo hold on the Broncos. I suspect Bellamy sold his soul to the devil and is a secret master of the dark arts. I hope the Broncos can yeet him into the cauldron of Lang Park to break the curse!
I liked watching the Broncos this year. They play good attacking footy, and Reece Walsh is a firecracker. And I hate the Storm. It will be an epic good vs evil battle for me π

Roosters had some good possession later in the half, which might balance things out.
Not sure if the wind at the back of the Roosters for the 2nd half will make the difference
