Has anyone else felt the shift in what news sources are actually available in this country recenly?

Newshub and 3 News folded, half of the NZ Herald articles are only available on a 'premium' subscription, and now even Stuff wants you to create a login to read half of its articles.

In my rage on that last one, I searched the headline of the article I was trying to read, and it came up word-for-word from a Sydney Morning Herald article anyway. Half of their articles are just copied and pasted from elsewhere but they still want you to give up your name, email and phone number to get access.

I know we're a small country. I know news and good journalism doesn't come for free. But honestly, I'm finding it increasingly alarming how few news outlets there are in the country at present.

Where do you guys get your news?
