"Donald Trump is seeking to put Kamala Harris on the back foot as both candidates respond to the devastation unleashed by Hurricane Helene,” The Hill reports.

“Trump visited Georgia on Monday, where he knocked the federal government’s response to the storm. His visit comes days after he criticized Harris and President Biden over the crisis.”

“Harris, meanwhile, cut her planned West Coast trip short and will be briefed on the disaster at the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters.”

Reporter: Trump has accused you of ignoring—

Biden: He's lying and the governor told him he was lying. I've spoken to the governor.. I don't know why he does this and the reason I get so angry about it, I don't care about what he says about me, but I care what he communicates to the people that are in need. He implies that we're not doing everything possible. We are. I assume you heard the Republican Governor of Georgia talk about that. He was on the phone with me more than once. So that's simply not true. And it's irresponsible.

And did you know literally just LAST WEEK, House Republicans blocked preemptive additional funding for responding to Hurricane Helene from being included in the government funding bill (CR).

Rumor is Biden will ask them back for special session to reconsider.

I'm so sick of fucking Republicans.

HELP THE FUCKING PEOPLE IT IS WHY YOU ARE ACTUALLY HERE.

Fuck intentions, fuck the founding fathers, fuck whatever this was founded on. We know, in a colloquial sense, that politicians are supposed to help us enact the society we want to live in.

SO FUCKING HELP.

They are not there to help. They are there to dismantle the US into feudal states for the tech bros, hedge-fund assholes, and other weird ass billionaires who wish to be kings.

They are genuinely, ontologically evil people

Evil is the absence of empathy. So you're absolutely right.

Reminds me of the time that dumb ass tried to correct a NOAA forecast with a sharpie.

Here's trump saying "there's a little hurricane in Florida" to explain people leaving his rallies. He can pretend that more should've been done, but he's full of shit and downplayed it while Biden was pushing for preemptive funding which Republicans in Congress neglected to include in the budget.

These assholes doomed those poor people and are now calling foul to win political points. Fucking disgusting.

And yet, in that part of the country, there will be plenty of people waiting to be on the receiving end of his TP.
