Last year I gifted a news junky friend a year subscription to the New York Times. That was cool but they are more interested in Australian stories. Normally they browse the ABC and BBC apps.

They pissed Lachlan Murdock off so for that alone they are worth supporting!

I find them too political and a touch too 'edgy' for my tastes. They'd rather blow wide a big scandal against some politician or rich than report on anything that would actually affect me.

I'm glad they exist, but I'm not their target demographic.

I've been a subscriber for 4 years now, I find it interesting and relevant, and they don't seem to have favorites amongst the political parties. They are mostly politics focused tho.
