Is there anyone else who thinks this is ridiculous? I don't understand why it is so expensive. My family is going to be near Greymouth for Christmas and my Grandmother (84) in Chch loves trains. I thought what a great present to give her, she could come over on the train and join us for Christmas... Not going to happen at that price. $450 return for a pensioner. I thought trains were meant to be affordable.
