To be fair. I imagine they would be hard for anyone to manage.

The entire "article" is based on one tweet from one guy. Guess that guy is "MAGAs".

Welcome to the level of rigor they treated antifa with, or those _____ slammed by twitter articles.

I suppose it's as solid as "lots of people are saying it."

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Everybody says so. Many such cases.

Political Flare has an abysmal mbfc score

[–] Numenor@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

What's Marina Bay Financial Centre got to do with this?

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Damn, an abysmal score from an abysmal critic.

This is no different than Trump saying "they say" when he makes up some bullshit.

[–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 52 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The GOP once again claiming that women are property...

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

Yeah that’s what their issue with no fault divorce is. They think that men should only lose their wives due to behavior bad enough that a judge recognizes it, and many don’t believe spousal rape is rape.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 39 points 1 month ago (2 children)

If he actually uses adult diapers (and there are a lot of hints that he does!), he can't even control his bodily functions!.

Hey, MAGAs, what is that telling you?

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 20 points 1 month ago

Hey, MAGAs, what is that telling you?

"He's one of us!"

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Well, for one he's not full of shit, but his pants might be.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 37 points 1 month ago

Trump and Vance are pretending they are more pro choice than they actually are. Roe V Wade was fine, and nobody was trying to expand it (despite what republicans would tell you). Trump ended Roe V Wade and now we’re in this shit situation.

Melania coming out pro choice is just Trump’s way of seeming more pro choice (yes, of course he pushed her to make this statement). Vance’s BS during the debate was the same thing.

Lol these people can't understand rights, in this case their favorite freedom of speech. They only understand control.

[–] SomeoneSomewhere 26 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Internally consistent MAGAs. Good lord, now I've seen everything.

I'll be honest I didn't have Melania Trump on my October Surprise bingo card.

What? No, of course not.

Unless you want to do a deal?

[–] sxan@midwest.social 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hey, I'm game. What's the offer?

[–] Maggoty@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Sorry it looks like another red head already got your soul. You didn't fall for the redhead porn did you? That's a soul trap.

I'm ready for the timeline where Melania saves the world.

I have a feeling someone is saving a divorce when a loss is confirmed.

[–] sxan@midwest.social 21 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Naw. Here's my completely uninformed theory:

Melania is Trump's second wife, and he's exactly the kind of douchebag who'd have an iron-clad pre-nup. I think she's staying with him because (a) he probably doesn't touch her anymore, and spends his little-hands time with other women, (b) he's still a source of income for her, and (c) she gets nothing, or a pittance, if she divorces him. It may be that if he divorces her, she gets a payout, which would explain why he hasn't moved on to wife #3, but he's got the cake and is eating it, too; the real conundrum is why she hasn't left him yet. My money's on a pre-nup.

[–] porkchop@midwest.social 25 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Melania is wife #3. Ivana was first (Mom of Jr, Eric, and Ivanka), then Marla Maples (Mom of Tiffany), then Melania (Mom of Barron).

[–] sxan@midwest.social 3 points 1 month ago

Oh, thanks for the correction. I've never heard of Marla. Were they actually wed, or is she just a baby momma?

Yeah, of she's #3, there's definitely a pre-nup involved.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

real conundrum is why she hasn't left him yet.

She's 54, he's 78. She's waiting for him to croak.

Could be... I mean if you think about it she's hiding out in the one state where he can't really do anything. She also seems to be subtlety egging him on with criticizing Florida's weather and by association the Trump abode. Now she's contradicting her hubby's view on abortion. Like goading him to slip up and either run away or break one of the stipulations.

She could also be playing a long game, of sorts, and just doing it to increase his stress level. If you think about it, with his very likely unhealthy diet, his age and physique, along with the seemingly increase of droning on; adding the stress of even more controversy on top (other than his legal woes) could easily lower his life expectancy like a stone.

Either way, we won't know until after the dust settles following the election. But I do stand by my opinion that there is trouble in "paradise" and something has to be brewing.

[–] sxan@midwest.social 3 points 1 month ago

She had clearly lost interest even before the last election. The kids played along, because they got to hobnob with various heads off state, and play like they were actually running things, but they're all conspicuously absent this time around.

If he has dementia - and it's been hard to tell whether he does or if that's just his natural state - then it's hard on them to be around him. Dementia doesn't differentiate: everybody gets the mean.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 6 points 1 month ago

She's Wife Number 3. Ivana Trump was #1; Ivanka's mom, she was the star of the show when Trump was breaking out in the 1980s. #2 was Marla Maples. Evidence appears to show that Trump divorced her after finding out that she was sleeping with one or more members of her security team. [So Donnie would be a cuck who paid for his wife's lovers.]

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

This is how these people think ALL THE TIME 🤮

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Why are you deep throating shrek?

This is why I forgive Melania for being a gold digging, lying whore.

She's been driving needles into Trump's face every chance she's had since 2015.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I don’t really care about her do you?

Sincerely though, no resistance will make up for that stunt of hers in my opinion. She clearly cares about women’s rights a little bit, but I was going to say it’s because she’s a woman, but she’s an immigrant and doesn’t give half a fuck about her fellow immigrants.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 6 points 1 month ago

There's an old joke.

People are really divided on her. Some people hate her like poison; then there's a lot who just hate her regular.

And yet, this STILL won’t be enough to convince a lot of the leftists here to vote.

[–] Five@slrpnk.net 3 points 1 month ago (5 children)

Leftists warned you that someone like Trump was the inevitable result of the capitalist system before he was elected. And here you are, eight years later STILL scapegoating the left for another fascist turn.

Memucan then replied to the king and the officials, "The wrong of Queen Vashti is not against the king alone, but against all the officials and all the people who are throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus. For the matter concerning the queen will spread to all the women, leading them to treat their husbands with contempt, saying, 'When King Ahasuerus gave orders to bring Queen Vashti into his presence, she would not come.' And this very day the noble ladies of Persia and Media who have heard the matter concerning the queen will respond in the same way to all the royal officials, and there will be more than enough contempt and anger! If the king is so inclined, let a royal edict go forth from him, and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media that cannot be repealed, that Vashti may not come into the presence of King Ahasuerus, and let the king convey her royalty to another who is more deserving than she. And let the king's decision which he will enact be disseminated throughout all his kingdom, vast though it is. Then all the women will give honor to their husbands, from the most prominent to the lowly."
