Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Shouldn’t he already be there? I’m just asking questions

Spoiler alert: the plan is to limp Trump into office, JD slaps him out with the 25th and then him a Peter Thiel measure the oval office for drapes.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 35 points 2 months ago

Like they kept saying the Democrats were going to do.

Yet again, it's projection.

Fun anecdote: Edward Snowdon blocked me on twitter for asking him why his bff thiel (sbowden loves thiel) couldn't "rescue" him from his Russian home.

PS Brave browser is thiel's baby.

And an out of my ass educated speculation: thiel is (one part of) satoshi nakamoto.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

sbowden loves thiel

Got a source for this?

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

No, Snowdon. Which is actually just Donald Trump in winter.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 22 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (2 children)

They'll go 2 years 1 day with Trump so Vance can try for 9 years 364 days as president.

[–] ech@lemm.ee 8 points 2 months ago

While an insightful suggestion, this presupposes that they won't figuratively or literally throw out the constitution before that point.

[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Why bother? There wouldn't be any more voting in 2028.

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 5 points 2 months ago

Bingo! Then the tech bros carve out their personal kingdoms.

[–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 3 points 2 months ago

Dunno what a Peter Thiel is... but that does seem to be the plan, and it's probably why they chose someone who hates Trump over a Trump loyalist. The former is more likely to oust the guy, the latter would just say "Oh he's playing 5D Chess, don't worry, he'll own those libs."

[–] morphballganon@lemmynsfw.com 63 points 2 months ago

So he's ineligible to run again, then?

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 49 points 2 months ago (2 children)

He continued, "No. I think there were serious problems in 2020. Did Trump lose the election in 2020? Not by the words that I would use."

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 51 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That is a totally normal way to say things by the words that I would use.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

When I said “let’s kill them all” what I really meant was “hooray for ice cream”

[–] evidences@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I'm pretty sure this is an actual trump quote from yesterday.

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago

"From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!"

[–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 33 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

The ultimate proof that he DID lose the 2020 Election?

The fact that he's running again, if he actually believed it was rigged he'd be using his resources to expose the game or reform the system so that the "cheating" couldn't happen again.

Instead he's running again, which means he believes he has a chance of winning, and if he doesn't he looks like a fool for playing in a game that he "knew" was rigged against him, and if he wins.... he blows up his big "Biden cheated" lie

And sadly, he might actually fucking win...

I hate this country

Look, just vote, okay. That's all I'm asking you to do, vote for Harris.

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 26 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (2 children)

So if he didn't lose the election, that means he's already been elected president for 2 terms and is ineligible to run in 2024.

[–] dirthawker0@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Oh, they'll weasel their way around that. "He was elected but was not allowed to serve by those cheating Democrats, and the rule is a president can't serve more than 2 terms" blah blah blah

[–] Zron@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Actually the rule very clearly states that no one can be elected more than twice for the presidency.

So looking at it from the Trump campaign’s perspective, assuming this is their official stance, they are running an illegal campaign to elect a president for a third time.

[–] dirthawker0@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

That's true, but I was implying that the Trump campaign will just claim the rule is "serve", or claim "serve" was meant, not caring what the actual rule is.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 5 points 2 months ago

He's already "joked" about being allowed to run for 3 terms or more... The rules don't apply to Trump, just everyone else.

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago (2 children)

And this just further galvanized their base. I'm not looking forward to the next couple months

[–] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

If he loses in expecting another January 6th but since the security will be more prepared, more people will die

[–] GiddyGap@lemm.ee 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm not looking forward to the next couple ~~months~~ years

FTFY

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

I get that, but regardless the road to the election is gonna be fucked. If he somehow sleezes his way in we're all fucked. But is Kamala wins the first year won't be pleasant because of the other side

[–] YeetPics@mander.xyz 3 points 2 months ago

I plan on going hyper-vigilant recording and doxxing all the chuds.

Justice is slow, but that cunt never forgets a damn thing.

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 months ago

Then he should stop running as he'd be going for a 3rd term, right? That's unconstitutional.

Oh who am I kidding, rules are for the poor.
