Yea, my first thought was along simular lines - there are many issues that had built up over years of negligence.
My only experience with SolarWinds was when I took a brief interest in a side project of theirs, signed up for a newsletter, and then spent more than a decade clicking unsubscribe every 6 months. The somehow evaded Gmail's spam filter about that frequently and unsubscribe went nowhere. Even diverting them with rules didn't work well because the email formatting would change enough to evade. I'm kind of glad they're suffering.
I've never had the chance to deal with them and at this point I'm really happy about it!
