"You were a racist site!"

The absolute lack of subtlety on this meme, my god. The point blank spelling out of the authors opinion, the complete absence of a joke, and that exclamation mark. My word.

Less is more

That's how I read it and made it funny

[–] tuoret@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 week ago

Makes it hilarious on a whole new level

Oh I see. As you can see, I don't read in the mornings

Is it dead? People are leaving but I don't think it's dead... Yet

[–] PunchingWood@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Nah it's a long way from dying, I doubt it will ever go under in the foreseeable future anyway.

People are constantly announcing their departures from X and make a whole show about it. Only to come back after a couple of days or weeks.

Social platforms are under the same effect as voting. Over half population either supports it or is too ill informed. They just want to scroll their feed without thinking too much. Same way voters just vote for the one that sounds alright on the surface. Combined with the fervent supporters makes a majority. It's the minority of voters/users who are opinionated against it.

It's not going to die.

Now that Elon is riding Trumps dick and is in the white house, it's going to be the official propaganda machine of the United Reich of America.

That's why he bought it. He doesn't give a fuck if Taylor Swift is there. Lost value? He just used it to influence an election.

It's starting to die

Just know that it's a racist site

[–] Turd_Ferg@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You must be new

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

BlueSky might not be racist YET, but it will be when all of the establishment media migrate there and the dumb masses follow.

Besides, it'll be enshittificated sooner or later like all corporations with shareholders.

[–] trespasser69@lemmy.world -1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

At least it's will not be owned by billionare to spread his/her ideology

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

Billionaires and hectomillionaire shareholders are pretty much the same thing when it comes to enshittification.

It might not be racist from the top down like the husk formerly known as Twitter is now, but it'll enshittify and be racist from the bottom up nonetheless.

[–] altima_neo@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 week ago

Incorrect use of the meme, yet again

[–] bad_news@lemmy.billiam.net 2 points 1 week ago

I would be shocked if journalists overall can quit Twitter, its whole power has always been journalists are as addicted as Elon, it's just he's the one alcoholic who had the money to buy the bar.

Dorsey took care to hire on for the Bluesky staff a collection of LessWrong rationalists, neoreactionaries, VibeCamp anti-wokeist race scientists and crypto developers. And Bluesky still had to asymptotically approach a tolerable degree of moderation and — eventually, despite the CEO and several devs being followers of the test case offender — ban the Nazis.
