Hello peeps

How goes it?

Edit: love you all, thanks for the welcomes! Have a photo of the cat that comes to visit me sometimes, most recently a few days ago!

You're back! Fucking grouse man! This is such a tight little group, you know some people miss you when you're not here. I had to look at trains because you weren't here. I mean, I look at them anyway, but I thought of you and wondered if you were also train enjoying. Well, were you?

Edit; had alcoholic ginger beer at a park near a train station, sorry for effusive language. I'm ok.

[โ€“] Baku@sh.itjust.works 7 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Ay thanks!

Actually, no, not really. I caught a train home on Halloween (after a bit of a tiki tour around on the trams), but that's about it

[โ€“] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Oh well, plenty of time yet!

[โ€“] Baku@sh.itjust.works 6 points 6 days ago (5 children)

I'm heading off on vacay next week, so I'll have plenty of time to catch trains then

Even plotting a trip to the railway museum, if they decide to be open

Finished work early and.. just didn't feel like going home straight away. So I'm having a cheeky can of alco ginger beer in a part of a local park not frequented by children and their company or youths (I dislike drinking around children and will actively avoid it). Might have an extra can too. Because fuck it, that's why!

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I am so freaking pleased to hear youโ€™re taking some time for YOU!! You are such an amazing soul, carrying so much for your family, good on you for enjoying a moment!

Just want to say thank you all again for the support yesterday. Truly a supportive space here with great advice. After going into the eye and ear today for a follow up her schedule has reduced which means less refusal and it's going to be a bit easier for her.

Had a really helpful session with the psych today. Talked a lot about why I am struggling to let go of stress and work and gave me some good exercises to help getting some structure back and some boundaries (for me). I picked out this time. She is kind but not afraid to suggest stuff - which is good. Practical.

Step one. Back to decent bedtimes. Night all. โ™ฅ๏ธ

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Fucking cleaning took so long even with the help of a friend because there was still Stuff that took long rob to load. Wish I didn't have overdue stuff to do at work this morning.

But i am really, truly, for sure this time 99% done - every last thing has been cleaned except the kitchen and second bedroom floor, it was too late for a vacuum. Tomorrow lunchtime i shall mop, take exit photos, drop off the keys and be done with moving out.

... next stage is moving in... I live in a fortress of bags and boxes. But first, my car is loaded up with shit that needs donating including a neglected bike (with good parts). Gonna try and temporarily store it at work so I don't need to be driving around with a whole ass bike in the back for the next few days.

Also, the check tyre pressure light came on even though I got a new tyre. More headaches! Rahhhh!

Good night everyone..

You're doing really, really well! Things will settle soon :)

General manager is resigning.

Big blow. He's one of the reasons I like it here.

Goddamn it.

One warm mince pie with cream and Bailey's custard. I could go another one.

Ok maybe I did.

Turd burgers! Ripped the stocking I bought an hour ago

[โ€“] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 7 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Stockings suck. I gave them all to a mate of mine to practise cricket on the clothes line.

Why dis wind sooo cool on such a lovely day?

Been asked like 3 x if Iโ€™m going riding, but I have my sooky pants on.

[โ€“] Duenan@aussie.zone 7 points 6 days ago

Stupid packages havenโ€™t been sent on the same day.

I hope the one delayed arrives by Friday or else itโ€™s going to get wet. :(

[โ€“] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 9 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

interesting development at work. Boss asked some common sense questions, leadership team didn't really have answers. Looks like things may not be as doom and gloom as we originally thought, so thats awesome. I don't love the company but I do love the boss and they'll pay to upskill my unqualified ass so thats worth something.

Working from home feels like a rest after such a big weekend. I want to focus though so I can work on other things the rest of this week

[โ€“] tone212_@aussie.zone 6 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Had a massive day, just sat down to go through the happenings of the DT. Two days in a row not WFH is a shock to the system, Iโ€™ve become such a home working slob. Quick wind down then off to bed as I gotta do it all again tomorrow. ๐Ÿ˜ด

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I feel terribly cold, suppose I better go back to bed

good night all ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

"Today the children pretended to eat the vegetables and say "yumm!"" You know what daycare, I will give you 500 bucks if that was actually the case! Given i watched tinyest pick out a fleck of zucchini from a casserole and when I asked him if he was gonna eat it he looked me dead in the eyes and said "Nooo".

Digging holes...filling holes

Friend said let's meet at 1. I ask her if she's sure. She says yes. It's 1:46 and I'm still waiting for her. I knew I should've arrived at 2. She waited a million years for a bus so she didn't have to walk, when she could've walked. Grr.

[โ€“] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 8 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

I had to step away from a friendship yesterday for a similar reason.

It feels bad today, but I'm glad I did it because I don't want to be the kind of person who is OK with that behaviour.

This person doesn't value your time and that's a pretty big red flag.

[โ€“] tone212_@aussie.zone 7 points 6 days ago

I am a sometimes late person (a trait I don't really like but actively trying to improve) but being THAT late is insulting. You have to value other people's time.
