I'd take this over the FORD MEGA F50000 PENIS COMPENSATORs that I see everywhere in America

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 5 points 6 days ago

At least it looks like you can get in and out of the doors at the side, rather than the BMW Isetta which amusingly coupled the front-only opening with having no reverse gear.

"Let's roll"

Try to drive past a playground but the kids play soccer with your car for 20 minutes.

Put a stem on top, call it Apple Car or iCar.

How does he drive that thing without arms, anyway?

That might work with a helicopter, but he has to use pedals as well as steer in a car.

Driving a car with a yoke is completely doable.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

With no fingers? Seems difficult.

[–] TheTetrapod@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Depends how prehensile his body is, could be pressing the gas with his... torso?

[–] einlander@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

I imagine the further the yoke is moved the faster it goes.

Like the walk stick for an fps.

You ever see that episode of South Park where Mr. Garrison invents a new form of transportation so he doesn't have to go through the airline anymore?

When you're trying to merge but they won't let you in: "Hey buddy! Give peas a chance!"

[–] LouNeko@lemmy.world 8 points 6 days ago

Peas was never an option.

[–] DJDarren@thelemmy.club 16 points 1 week ago

As a kid we used to go to the Beaulieu Motor Museum quite a lot, and I was always fascinated by the Outspan orange car, which is almost identical to this. But orange.

I’m assuming the Pea is also based on a Mini.

A bright orange car shaped like an orange, belting around a track at almost certainly dangerous speeds.

This is what happens when you fart in a smart car.

[–] pearsaltchocolatebar@discuss.online 14 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I legit want one, although at 6'3" I probably can't fit

Looks like the engine is in the back, and seat is placed so you shouldn't have weight distribution issues, it shouldn't actually roll. Your head should have plenty of room. Now all we need to do is shorten your legs 🤔

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

Looks like it would scale well.

[–] verity_kindle@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 week ago (3 children)

That's the first car I've ever seen that I instantly desired to own with all my heart. Maybe I can just get my honda repainted that color...would that satisfy the craving?

[–] Deconceptualist@lemm.ee 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

For actual production cars you might like the Peel P50, or some of these other fun microcars.

[–] verity_kindle@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Thank you. May your pea car be forever garden fresh.

Maybe make it a short range EV....

60mph in that? Someone felt suicidal...

[–] Im_old@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You just need a 5 point seatbelt and an helmet. Maybe a padded jacket too. And a mouthguard. Look, if you are not ready to really commit to the game you are better off not playing.

Also padded gloves and motorcycle boots.

I wore flip flops and T-shirts on motorcycles when I was younger. Helmets not required... This thing looks super fucking safe to me.

[–] Ferrous@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 week ago

It is. Sounds like it was made to be in an ad ad.

They better put that in Forza Horizon 6 so I can at least drive it virtually

[–] Frostbeard@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I couldnt get in even if Anna Kendrick sat there in a bikini telling me to get in. Way to tall and wide for that thing.
