Exactly. I used to use Ecosia instead of Google for my internet searches, thinking that their planting trees would be a good endeavour. They do plant trees, but they can't guarantee them to actually grow to be "useful" trees. So ultimately, while I did contribute to a bunch of "trees" being planted, it probably didn't make too much of a difference after all.
We also can't plant enough trees to mitigate climate change.
We can't do enough to do the whole job. No one thing is going to suffice. We can do enough to be a small piece of the solution.

We can afford to spend way more money on this and really make a difference, just like the peace corps did in the 1930s. We still see the effects of that across our state parks nationwide...
