Check jitsi meet (meet.jit.si) It is a free service based on an open source framework and runs fine in a browser. I don't know of it can handle 32 but during the pandemic it was used for online classes.

Do you know if I can schedule a meeting for a specific date in jitsi (I cannot find any mention of this)?
You can persist the session and use the link to it on the invite I think. The link is not protected however, anyone can use it but that never was an issue.
I use jitsi all the time. The link should work. It works really well. No one needs to install anything. Just a regular browser. Although I've had mixed results using Firefox but Chrome and Edge work really well. It also has a mobile app if you are so inclined.
cool, then you probably can clarify me how it assumed to be used to organize a meeting. What I see now, looks the following way
- I create a meeting with unique name, join it and immediately leave it. Now this meeting will exist forever (I cannot delete it)
- I send link to the meeting to people who should participate with start date/time
- Anyone from invited people can login to the meeting using their gmail/fb credentials before me and takeover meeting admin role.
Moreover, if on step 1 I enter already existing meeting name, there will be no error message I simply try to jump-in in existing meeting (without knowing this).
Does it really work like that?
Yes. If you guess the meeting name of another meeting AND there is no password or lobby set then yes. You will crash their party. If you add a password and lobby then only people you know (or the admin) can allow access. I am unsure on how long the meting rooms last, but setting one up is really quick. The only person who needs credentials to join is the creator. Also unsure on how to pass along the admin role to another but I am guessing it should not be that difficult. I will try later.
Good luck!
Thank you.
I add a lobby and a password, so random person cannot join - fine.
But still, I invite people and give this password. So, the first who come to to meeting (5 mins before start, 1 hour before start 1 day before start) automatically becomes admin of it. This is probably ok for a 3 friends meeting, but hardly usable for school parents or a hobby club meetings.
FaceTime supports up to 32 people on a group call. No time limit that I’m aware of. You can send web links to people on Android/Windows.
I'm an android/windows user myself. Can one schedule a facetime call? Is web experience as good as ms teams/zoom offers?
I’m sure the web version is as good as or better than Teams or Zoom. Any Zoom calls I’ve been subjected to have been a complete shit show of people trying to get it to work for the first 15mins…
Check out this article re. setting up and scheduling a FaceTime call. FWIW, anyone can join the call on any device but you’ll need an Apple device to set it all up initially.
Thank you. Will keep it as a plan B, since I do not have an apple account.
BigBlueButton

I have not use it myself yet, but it has 75 users limit and no time limit.
I've been in way too long Google meet calls with that amount of people.
In theory it should work, but I'm not 100% sure if long calls are maybe a business customer feature
A free account has a 1 hour limit for group video calls.
