Is it too much to hope that they fuck up, redacting the names by drawing a box over text in a PDF?

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 2 points 9 hours ago

They dont make that mistake on account of the software they use literally not allowing that.

[–] A_norny_mousse@lemm.ee 6 points 1 day ago

Sounds perfectly realistic to me!

They may be redacted as to not implicate the president?

[–] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 22 points 1 day ago

Haven't we already confirmed Trump's in the flight logs with his daughter?

[–] Tramort@programming.dev 47 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What information could possibly be relevant to national security?

It's just names.

Any reaction means it's a member of the administration, because they aren't going to protect anyone else.

Information on how he got caught getting in the hands of criminals could be problematic. 'National security' isn't how I would have phrased that and I forget how they phrase it normally, 'means and methods' maybe? Also if it was just a list of names then it'd inevitably become a list of people whoever's in charge wants to get rid of, considering people have for the most part been trying to use Epstein's legacy for wish fulfillment by saying their name's on some magical list that most likely doesn't exist. Dude ran a bunch of somewhat legitimate businesses too, would surprise me little if they're all in the same contact book and the only copy of the list of which one's are pedophiles was in his head.

National security is meaningless now.

During his first term, he openly bragged to a billionaire buddy about very precise detectability specifications of our submarine fleet, including exactly how close our subs can get to Russian subs without being detected. That’s, like, a “here’s the cell you’ll live in for the rest of your life” treason offense for anyone else, but for the President: 🤷‍♂️

Epstein did brag about being a Mossad agent, and it can be tempting to accept invitations to orgies, without realizing that its a honeypot blackmail operation.

‘means and methods’

If intelligence assets had to infiltrate Russia or Israel in order to get the information, then and only then its a plausible argument. Where the information can come from any of 1000s of party guests, or US/Bahamas flight manifests, then it is not a valid argument.

The actual national security reasons, is the same one he was killed under Trump administration. It would diminish the perception of the USA if the public knew their heroes are compromised by Israel or lascivious.

I get the feeling he bragged about being a mossad agent the same way one of my buddies in elementary school bragged about his dad being in the CIA. It's a cheap thing to throw out and you get an excuse for when you get called out with it.

[–] humanspiral@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 hours ago

He did have plenty of ties with Israel oligarchs and zionist supremacists in US. Whether paid by Mossad, he could have thought it "patriotic" to honeypot people.

"Sources and methods"

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago

Trump raped underage girls.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Anywhere you see a black bar, especially when it's coupled with a underaged girl, it's safe to assume and put Trump's name in place of it and reposting it back on Facebook and X.

everyone knows donald was a frequent flier there.

[–] Snowclone@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They really thought Trump would ever do this? He's the most likely person to burn them.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 1 points 21 hours ago

I love the unedited fox news interview

Would you release the Epstein files?

Uh... Well... Uh... Maybe? Yeah, I think I would, but I'd have to take a closer look, it could cause problems for people. But yeah...I think I would. Yeah.

After rapid fire "yes" to every other document they asked about, it really stands out

[–] XTL@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

Is there any need though? All the people they care about probably have full immunity from anything.
