Is there a particular subreddit that is spiteful towards the word Luigi? I’m going to try saying Loo-E-G and see what happens. Perhaps the bots won’t recognize the phonic resemblance.

Try Un-Mario
Yeah, I got a notice and I don't even know what for as I have never spoken of Luigi. My best guess is that I responded to a poster talking about the inevitability of the USA rolling into Canada and taking everything and there's nothing we can do to stop it. I wrote back that Trump isn't getting anything and that I will die to protect my country. Boom, warning email from Reddit. Fuck them.
Just woke up to my account being suspended for suspicious activity after getting a warning.
Reddit really hates Mario's brother. What did Luigi do to your wife, spez? Mammamia that's an abomination
This is the final straw for me. Today, after years of accelerating decline, I deleted my Reddit account and made my Lemmee lurking official. My only regret is abandoning the the good people at Narwhal who always made Reddit better, but never had a chance to save it from its corporate-aspiring overlords. Good-bye!
Don't worry, the way things are going, they will probably find their way here sooner or later.
I wish you meant the Narwhal team, but I fear you are right that the likes of Spez et al. will find a way to corrupt whatever public forum is large enough get their attention.
I just got a 3 day ban. Here I am allowed to say that CEO assassination is basically self defense, right?
In this house, Luigi is an American hero. End of discussion.
say that CEO assassination is basically self defense, right?
I'm also new but from what I saw people here go even further than that, I think I'm going to like it here
Most of the time, if I say “Luigi” I’m actually talking about the character. Mario’s brother. The lil green plumber. Not the real life guy.
I’m not sure what’s gonna happen to discussion about Nintendo games but if first names themselves can be banned from being said (even if they take on a new meaning due to slang) there’s something seriously wrong with the platform.
there’s something seriously wrong with the platform.
The country.... And the ruling parasite class...
It's official folks, Reddit admins have actually lost their fucking minds.
They lost them in about 2014.
This shit brought me back to trying to get into Lemmy. I'm sure this is the straw for others too. May reddit enjoy it's diggification.
Yep that’s what brought me here. Reddit is gonna be just as censored as every other platform. Fuck that.
Excuse me, the terms of service says no strong language. You gotta say frick. Or do what everyone does on highly censored platforms and strt cnsring everth*ng. /s
Lmfaoooo like “unalive”. Truly just ruining ease of language for no damn reason.
Reddit doesn't do anything about them unless the press gets involved. No way they'd crack down on their ~~slave~~volunteer labor.
That sent me here as well. What a great way for them to advertise for a decentralized information exchange!
I got banned from Reddit for stating that fascists need to be hung while Reddit endorses fascist subreddits such as /r/conservative that spews hate.
Make it make sense.
r/con bans you for anything, most of its controlled by russian trolls anyways, well known fact. thats how whipped up reddit into a trump frenzy.
I recently got banned for three days but I’m going to get rid of my Reddit. It’s only going to get much worse unfortunately.
Yup. I got banned from a sub for using the verb "to Luigi" (someone)
now reddit is telling people to investigate the people upvoting and people who got "luigied" by the filters, as if mods are going to spend energy investigating every single instance.
lol they are giving warnings to people who upvote posts that they deem questionable. Literal thought crime police :D
I got banned for talking about Luigi too much.
Just signed up here. I had my account flagged for upvoting on Reddit. Needless to say I was POed but so far I'm liking it here
Everyone just refer to his brother Mario
Reddit is also banning and warning people for UPVOTING "violent" comments (or what they now consider violent and somehow right wing subs don't get the same censorship applied; or we'd see them bitch about it). It's now a dystopia.
Free Luigi. Free Palestine.
What about Luigi, the 1959 Fiat 500 from the movie Cars? Reddit is fucked up.
Made my first Lemmy account after this bullshit! Took a split second to figure out, but Lemmy seems super rad so far!
