Uhhhhhh

No? If they are hard, they are dried out. Chewy, sure, that's the fun; but they should be soft to the touch.

Yes, but riot control would be so much fun for everyone!

I think you need to get your Haribo from somewhere else, they're generally a pretty pleasant level of gummy. The only time I can remember them being hard is when they're super old.

Well unless you're getting whatever their version of sports mix or mini gems is called, which are supposed to be hard gummies.

[-] Chee_Koala@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago

They might have a variant that's supposed to be hard but basically all of local Haribo bears or cola gummies or frogs are super soft and chewy.

[-] Thorry84@feddit.nl 6 points 1 year ago

Cola is a bit harder than the bears tho. The bears are like silk, very soft and bouncy and melt in your mouth.

Why yes I do have a bag of bears in front of me right now. I know it says Share size, but this is my bag. Get your own bag if you want some.

Twin snakes are the best in my opinion, but those are on the hard side.

[-] Thorry84@feddit.nl 2 points 1 year ago

They are very good indeed. I love the taste of sour in candy, but since I'm an old man my stomach can't take it.

[-] FQQD@lemmy.ohaa.xyz 13 points 1 year ago

They aren't? Source: I'm a gummy bear, yes I'm a gummi bear

[-] mysticpickle@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago

I just got the song out of my head yesterday 😮‍💨

[-] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 12 points 1 year ago

I actually like them tougher. I’ll buy a bag and leave it open for a week before I start eating them.

You are a bringer of chaos and a destroyer of worlds

[-] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 4 points 1 year ago

Nicest thing I’ve been called all year! ❤️

[-] mariusafa@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 1 year ago

Dude i left haribos open for a week and they were like rocks. What kind of teeth do you have?

[-] makingStuffForFun@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago

Soft. Green Tea variety are sublime

[-] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 year ago

What?!
Never heard of those.

[-] makingStuffForFun@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Got them in an actual Gummy bear store in Germany. Never seen them anywhere else.

[-] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 year ago

Looked them up. But they don't look appetizing.
Can you vouch for them or should they be avoided?

[-] makingStuffForFun@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago
[-] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 year ago

Might even have to get a pack should I see it. Thank you very much :)

[-] zipzoopaboop@lemmynsfw.com 6 points 1 year ago

Either you live in a freezer or you are eating old candy

[-] AmidFuror@fedia.io 5 points 1 year ago

Keep them in your pocket. They'll be warm and soft enough even for Mr. Rooney.

[-] Knoxvomica@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago

Sweet Venus

[-] wosc@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Would be much cooler & colorful though. For science!

[-] badbrainstorm@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I agree. When I indulge, Black Forest brand is where it's at

[-] Mister_Feeny@fedia.io 6 points 1 year ago

Albanese is superior to every gummy brand.

[-] d00phy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Agreed. Came here to say this.

[-] snausagesinablanket@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

[-] Witchfire@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Showerthoughts

A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.

Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. No politics
    • If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
    • A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
  4. Posts must be original/unique
  5. Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS

If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.
