The attorneys defending Mike Lindell and his business against defamation claims from voting machine companies are seeking to sever ties with the "MyPillow Guy" over millions of dollars in unpaid legal fees.

In a court filing Thursday, the law firm of Parker Daniels Kibort LLC said Lindell and MyPillow are months behind on their legal bills in three defamation cases, and they can no longer afford to represent him.

"At this time, Defendants are in arrears by millions of dollars to PDK," the filing said. "PDK is a small litigation and trial firm in Minneapolis, MN and cannot afford to finance Defendants’ defense in the Litigations."

How the fuck do you end up owing millions of dollars to lawyers after 2-3 years? And at some point he was paying them so I don't even want to know what the total has been

[-] sturmblast@lemmy.world 20 points 2 years ago

I don't remember those exact amount but I'm pretty sure Dominion is suing him for a whole lot more than that

He’s a grift cow. He’s been repeatedly hit up by grifters to fund stupid stuff.

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

They're likely accruing debt on a bonded injunction or something similar though a couple million on a case this large and public over years isn't uncommon.

[-] OctopusKurwa@lemm.ee 38 points 2 years ago

You can't convince me this fucker isn't back on the crack.

[-] ChrisLicht@lemm.ee 14 points 2 years ago

This election stuff is his current crack.

He took a hotshot of Trump.

Yep. Some people just have an addictive personality and need to be addicted to something. Eminem talked about it when he first got clean. He was saying how he replaced his addiction for drugs with running. Said he would run for several miles every single day.

Also, his pillows suck. I just felt the need to add that.

I like that someone on the IntarWebz called him "Deposition Karen".

[-] OldWoodFrame@lemm.ee 10 points 2 years ago

That's what I hate about how everyone calls him "the MyPillow Guy" it's free advertising even if no one likes him.

[-] HopeOfTheGunblade@kbin.social 7 points 2 years ago

I like "Mike Pillow", personally.

[-] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

I was gifted one of his pet blankets for Christmas. Those suck too. My dog gets static electric zaps every morning.

[-] crossfadedragon@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

If he's hurting for money, he himself could start sucking. Maybe start an only fans. Pillow Princess Mike.

I really hope all of these high profile right wing types follow Trump's lead. All of them having crappy lawyers would be fitting.

They're not used to criminal lawyers. They're used to criminal lawyers. They have no concept of how a legitimate justice system is supposed to work.

As soon as they can't intimidate or "whack" a judge, juror, or opponent they go deer in headlights. You can't blame them really. Their money has shielded them through decades without consequence.

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

These people never had whack a judge power, at best they have here's a hundred thousand you didn't see anything money. That's a big difference and one arguably isn't power just influence that can be switched by offering them slightly more.

Crack ain't got shit on narcissism.

[-] Jaysyn@kbin.social 6 points 2 years ago

Looks like someone replaced their crack addiction with a right-wing theocracy addiction.

[-] bquintb@midwest.social 5 points 2 years ago

Looks like Mike Pillow needs another cyber symposium to sell tickets!

[-] TheFuzz@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

And yet, he still holds on to his claims. He needs some real deprograming.

[-] downpunxx@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

All of these monsters are continuously reported to "owe millions" to their lawyers, and are being sued by them, and yet, they continue to be represented every time they go to court. One of these things simply isn't true.

[-] Unaware7013@kbin.social 7 points 2 years ago

You severely underestimate the amount of sycophants out there who will gladly do it because 'they won't fuck me over, I'm one of the good ones' until they end up just like the rest.

Just look at ol' dipshits Donnie and the number of businesses that continue to work with him knowing he has decades of history not paying people.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

Yes, and all the dumbasses that rotated through his maladministration, only to fall out of favor or whatever and get dragged by donnie, too.

[-] Lemmylaugh@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

What is the total fees?
