How the fuck do you end up owing millions of dollars to lawyers after 2-3 years? And at some point he was paying them so I don't even want to know what the total has been
I don't remember those exact amount but I'm pretty sure Dominion is suing him for a whole lot more than that

They're likely accruing debt on a bonded injunction or something similar though a couple million on a case this large and public over years isn't uncommon.

I really hope all of these high profile right wing types follow Trump's lead. All of them having crappy lawyers would be fitting.
They're not used to criminal lawyers. They're used to criminal lawyers. They have no concept of how a legitimate justice system is supposed to work.
As soon as they can't intimidate or "whack" a judge, juror, or opponent they go deer in headlights. You can't blame them really. Their money has shielded them through decades without consequence.
These people never had whack a judge power, at best they have here's a hundred thousand you didn't see anything money. That's a big difference and one arguably isn't power just influence that can be switched by offering them slightly more.

All of these monsters are continuously reported to "owe millions" to their lawyers, and are being sued by them, and yet, they continue to be represented every time they go to court. One of these things simply isn't true.
You severely underestimate the amount of sycophants out there who will gladly do it because 'they won't fuck me over, I'm one of the good ones' until they end up just like the rest.
Just look at ol' dipshits Donnie and the number of businesses that continue to work with him knowing he has decades of history not paying people.
