I'm looking for an alternative to duolingo, the main appeal for me of duolingo is the gamification of the app as this helps me to stay consistent (so just normal flashcards would not be suitable).

Not sure about the gamification aspect, as I haven't used it myself in a while, but Babbel might be an alternative. Headquaters are in Berlin, Germany. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babbel

I wish for a general alternative to Duolingo similar to what it was before it was completely enshittified and turned ads and gems for money up to the maximum.

Before, like 5 years ago, I considered Duolingo subscription and I felt it provided good value. But what it has become now is just disgusting me.
