Fuck AI

"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

Over 100% of people who understood that the whole “AI” push is actually marketing hype are glad they didn’t replace competent workers with bullshit statistical word generators.

Pizza glue not as tasty as promised?

Clearly glue isn't strong enough or they didn't add enough of it.

You are replacing the wrong people with AI.

Start from the top, then watch how companies get more effective.

Lmao no shit, a bunch of middle managers bought into marketing hype and shoehorned an immature tech into an area it's not suited for to save a couple for quid, and no they're realising they're dumbasses.

These are the same people that got obsessed with blockchain and NFTs.

So they replaced workers with AI and now are figuring out AI won't do stuff independently without directions? I bet managerial duty has grown in those companies, because they fired humans that can actually think for themselves.
