I can't seem to upload any pictures to any lemmy instance or kbin instance. I have tried using chrome, opera, jerboa, kbin.social app and wefwef. They all give me an error. I have tried different pictures too. What am I missing?

Pictures too big maybe? Upload them via imgur or freeimage.host if so

Could it be a size thing? Were these all large images?

I tried different sizes. And I have seen high res pics posted on lemmy. I guess I will try something super low res

Tried a 900 byte image and that still failed. I tried downloading an image that was hosted on lemmy and not a link and uploading that, and that also failed.

I've had really hit-or-miss luck with images. Sometimes they upload fine, sometimes not at all, and other times get uploaded sideways. The only thing that worked every time was uploading to imgur first and grabbing that link to post
