Thoughts about these ones? For the one on the right, I tried a different angle to hopefully give more bird and less bald man.
I’m conflicted. The right bird is pretty, but I think I prefer the left one.

I liked your first iteration better, to be honest. The left-hand one here is too squat. The right-hand one is cute, though - people are not wrong about that.
Maybe I'm missing context, but I'm not seeing the "bald man" image in either of these. I see that avoiding it is the reasoning behind the right one, but I have to say that I feel a greater appeal towards the left image. Just seems more happy and bright (not in color, as they're the same colors, but in mood from the tilt of the head)
That said, I don't mind the right. Just prefer the left.

The one on the left has more character, but they're both adorable!
I like the left one's bird design more, but right one has a better "alert" expression.

Since 'kbinaut' is a fairly frequently suggested name for people on kbin, a suggestion I have for a bit of extra fun would be to add an astronaut helmet (kbirdnaut?)

Both are really good but I prefer the one on the right as a logo.
I really like this update. Having the crest up signifies interest. The old design looks sedated, almost scared, in comparison.

I'll put my vote in for the second one. Cockatoos' crests go up when they call out so it's more accurate :-) (Source: lives in a place with them around)
