Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- A new poll has revealed alarming support among Israeli Jews for the ethnic cleansing in Gaza. The survey, published Thursday in Haaretz, shows that 82% of Jewish Israelis back the idea of expelling native Palestinians from the strip.

The poll was conducted in March by one of the researchers on behalf of Penn State University. It surveyed 1,005 Jewish respondents across Israel.

Support for forced expulsions has spiked. 82% support expelling all Palestinians from Gaza. Over half—56%—also back expelling Native Palestinians who are citizens of Israel. In 2003, support for these views was lower at 45% and 31%, respectively.

The trend is strongest among younger generations. Among Jewish Israelis under 40, 66% support expelling native Palestinian citizens, and 58% support repeating the Jericho conquest. Only 9% of men under 40—those most likely to serve in the army—rejected all notions of expulsion or genocide.

The colonial situation dehumanizes the colonized and the colonizer. While the colonized are treated worse than animals, the colonizers treat themselves like gods (and, in the process, turn into monsters).

I wonder what the poll would be if a global one asked if the state of Israel should be disolved and given BACK to the Palestinians, just a random musing.

Based on global reactions, I think there will be a minority of yes and no's

Then the vast majority will be "I don't care anymore"

Israel must be destroyed. From the river to the sea.

This is your brain on colonialism.

Survey was 1005 people. I’d be interested to know how broad the demographics were.

Either way, disgusting.

Unless they're asking the same thousand people every time, this is a good representation. I don't think I've ever seen a single poll linked that doesn't have similar numbers.

The way statistics work, 1000 people is more than adequate for a population the size of Israel. It's honestly overkill, if anything. The real question is "are the respondents a representative sample?" That is, is the way you chose who to question and how to question them introducing any systemic bias in your results? For this survey, if everyone lived in the West Bank, that would be a clear source of bias in the data. But if people are randomly selected by, say, phone number, then you would have to worry about more subtle biases before agreeing that the data is sound.

Monsters. And while the have their dog in the white house, nothing will happen to them.

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 25 points 1 year ago

When haven't they had their dog in the white house?

[–] IttihadChe@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nothing will happen to them because they are an integral part of US power in the region. It's not about an individual in the white house. The last president was just as loyal (if not more) the majority of the house and senate are loyal to them, even the majority of the "disloyal" elected officials are only mildly opposed to specific actions.

[–] Coding4Fun@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Sorry. I didn't mean to direct to an specific president. It applies to any US president. Trump is a bit more aggressive, but he is like this about anything.

The Zionist Entity is a dog of the Amerikkkan empire (and its most rabid one at that), not the other way around.

[–] Sandouq_Dyatha@lemmy.ml 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

And the other 18% aren't against it, they want a kinder version of it

The main thing we learned from the Germans was almost any onecould do unspeakable things with enough propaganda and authority pressure. Most countries did not learn and change enough to stop such an event from occurring again, they assumed it was just a fault in German culture and most of the attempt to pursue and convict Nazis ceased with most getting away with their crimes against humanity. We determined no way to deprogram Nazism.

Maybe this spin of Nazism across the globe and the horrors it is unleashing will put in place the right reaction when popularism starts lying to the public to gain votes and stop it before it becomes a movement.

They say when nazi Germany fell, the USA took the scientists, the soviets all the industrial infrastructure. The Zionist looked around saw nothing left so picked up mein kampf.

The more I read about humans, the less I identify with them.

[–] IttihadChe@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 year ago

Zionists aren't human.

I want to believe this, but an article on a site I've never heard of which provides zero sources is not really enough to be trustworthy

Israelis are true monsters. It makes me sick to be on the same planet as these scum. What a failure of humanity that such a sick society was able to fester.
