We convert chemical energy to heat and kinetic energy through metabolism by eating, every day.
Solar energy is harvested whenever the sun is out.
Plants use that energy to create energy dense sugars.

So yeah. Solar panels. Easy peasy. Basically a solved problem on the generation side. Storage is coming along.

No idea tbh. I am sure its possible but it might be pricey and time consuming
