Why YSK: Because some people may want to use old reddit's interface and might be used to it's look. To choose the instance, put a /[instance name] after that url, or use the option given by the site itself

edit: apparently the original site where this came from is https://mlmym.org/ and this is the github repository https://github.com/rystaf/mlmym

Cool.

Alternatively you can install this userscript which, among other things, also changes Lemmy's UI to something akin to old.reddit

Whilst it's not as good a conversion as the one you posted, there's a violentmonkey script that does a pretty good job too

thanks, this is really good

How safe is it to log in to a lemmy instance through this? Seems like it could easily be used for phishing.

I don't see any reason bolha.one couldn't grab your credentials or any other data while using it, I'd probably look at the user scripts if that's a concern for you.

[–] T156@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Although if that's a concern, the user scripts could also do that, unless you take the time to go through them completely.

[–] Odusei@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah, that’s what I figured. It’s a neat proof of concept but I’ll never use it.

[–] snake@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Right, I tried logging in and got a cloudflare error page.

I changed my password just in case.

[–] d4nm3d@demmy.co.uk 8 points 1 year ago

[–] InfraRoodborstje@feddit.nl 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Why not post the link? Bit confusing.

That is both creepy and awesome at the same time!

[–] Tetsuo@jlai.lu 4 points 1 year ago

This looks really cool !

Although I would be a bit concerned login in this website instead of your instance.

When you said old.reddit interface I thought it'd be inspired by it, but wow, this IS old reddit! Feels very comfy to use, thanks for sharing

Seems like comments don't show up on it from the lemm.ee instance though

[–] wilberfan@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Dammit, you're right...

[–] Web_Rand@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

And it only works with Lemmy.

[–] Rhaedas@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think I've already grown attached to my customized Kbin look, because my first reaction was yuck. Pretty cool that someone went to all that effort, it looks like the real thing.

[–] 9284562@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

My first time visiting reddit, I thought the UI was so ugly.

My last time visiting reddit, I thought the UI is still so ugly.

[–] Dr_Fetus_Jackson@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

Oof! This is legit!

[–] solrize@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This is great. Anyone know if the source code is available? I didn't see an obvious link. I had been thinking of setting something like that up for myself.
